Excellent driving Instructor, always prompt to lessons and able to accommodate lesson times . My son passed first time

Very good instructor. I had bill. A very calming teacher. Flexible lessons. Good payment methods. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is interested in this type of driving. I had over 40 hours of manual and got nowhere. Came to bill at no gears and realised I could drive very well right from the off. A great experience all round

I had a great experience learning with Ryan from London Colney. I have transformed from an anxious driver to a quietly confident one. He is very thorough and has really high standards, which really made me up my game. I passed my test with only three minor faults. Can’t recommend or thank rob enough! I suffer from anxiety and Rob Is so easy to be around and made me feel at ease every lesson. Would highly recommend Richard to absolutely anyone looking to learn, I was incredibly nervous at first but within moments of being in the car each lesson he made me feel chilled out and confident about my driving. He's a top bloke, was always calm and understanding about mistakes and gave me loads of great tips and reminders that will stick with me whenever I'm on the road!

I have just recently passed my test FIRST TIME thanks to Richard from No Gears! He was always very calm and patient, and made each lesson a real joy. I got to go at my own pace and he was very clear at giving instructions. The amount of experience he had to share was amazing, which made me a much safer and confident driver. He was always organised and made sure to give me the time/resources I needed to pass. I can't thank him enough for the help he has given me.

Both the No Gears staff & driving instructor (Chris) were excellent with handling of my 'voucher' and arranging an initial date with my local instructor (Chris Stanislas). My voucher was nearing the expiry date. However, it wasn't an issue for the company to schedule my first lesson after the voucher expiry date (I assume to place a booking). Chris was a brilliant instructor and was able to judge my competence level very quickly and deduce whether I would be able to sit and pass my test within the initial purchase of 10 lessons. His instructions and friendly manner made the experience enjoyable. I'm pleased to say that I passed both theory and practical exam first time, with one (1) minor fault on the practical exam. I would recommend both NoGears to anyone wishing to conduct driver training (automatic) and with Chris if they live within the 'DA' post code area. Note: This was completed back in May 2018

What can I say about RICHARD from no gears.... BEST DRIVING INSTRUCTOR IN LETCHWORTH and I should know I’ve had enough of them😂. When my manual instructor had to quit because of health reasons I ended up with another two who completely destroyed what little confidence I had behind the wheel, so thought I’d give no gears a try as what I thought would be a one off lesson. I was so nervous and a mess on my first lesson with Rich but he put me to ease straight away and I honestly wish I’d found him sooner. He managed to fix and build up my confidence behind the wheel! Even when I gave him attitude he never gave up on me and what took several instructors two years to do, he managed in less than 6 months! I wish it had taken me longer just for the pure fact I enjoyed my lessons so much! Even after passing my test Rich gave me a lesson in my own car to help me gain some confidence in it ! I’ve got so much confidence now I’ve driven a four hour journey back from Wales to Letchworth in a car that’s bigger than my own; without even breaking a sweat! TOP GUY ! TOP INSTRUCTOR ! TOP QUALITY !

I had been learning to drive for 3 years. My last instructor was good but due to nerves and anxiety I was about to give up and then met Ruth Bernard who made me feel comfortable and I began to gain confidence. The No Gears car was fantastic after driving a manual on and off for 3 years. I passed my driving test in November 2018 and I cannot express how happy I am.I was going to give up and to trust my No Gears instructor and to pass has made me happy. She really helped me work through the nerves and anxiety and didn't recommend me for my test until I was truly ready. The lessons were structured and worked around my job. I highly recommend No Gears.
