We emailed affordable lighting asking some questions on a light to go over our breakfast bar in our new kitchen. They answered our question very quickly and unfortunately the light was not suitable. We ask could they recommend any other lights with specifications we required they soon came back with some ideas. We ordered one of there recommendations which arrived very quickly and are very pleased with our purchase looks great over the breakfast bar. Very efficient service. Unfortunately my order was out of stock but i was informed it would be sent as soon as they recieved it. After ia few days i phoned & they got onto their suppliers. I got a message next morning that it was being sent. The lady i spoke to was very polite & helpful & would definately use this firm again.

We ordered from them earlier on and were very pleased with their prompt delivery with one hour window for delivery slot, packaging and quality of the product. We have ordered same one again last week. Got it promptly, but unfortunately when our electrician opened the box, we realised that the fitting was faulty. When reported, they got back to us straight away and supplied us with a replacement set within 48 hours. We were very pleased with their service and will be using them again.

I bought a light fitting from Affordable Lighting, and rather than just ship to the address I'd given, they called me to check details. I really like personal/human service and was pleased. Delivery with DPD was great, I was given a text on the day with a 1 hour window, so knew when to expect it. The light itself is as expected. I would say that trying to wind the extra cable inside the body of the ceiling fitting is a bit fiddly, and getting them all the same length is precise work, but that's little price to pay for a light fitting at this price level. Three points - firstly, it is unclear from the info on the website how big the glass shades are in diameter. Secondly, the image doesn't make it clear that the shades sit on the three 'ball screws' (hard to explain!), so are not 'fixed' to the metal - just rested on it. While it's safe etc, every time one is touched or tapped, I have to straighten it again - minor niggle though. Finally, the cable aren't particularly weighted, so are a bit 'bendy - I assume they will straighten over time and it doesn't bother me much, but might bother a person who is super picky... Good velu for money, but make sure there are two of you to measure and get levels straight :-)

I ordered about 20 products (mainly Dar Lighting items) from Affordable Lighting. Their staff were helpful and quick to respond to my queries. The items were delivered quickly and I was kept informed along the way. One item which was delivered (directly from the manufacturer) arrived slightly damaged, and they got on to sorting a replacement very promptly. In short: great service, excellent value and would definitely use them again.
