United Kingdom | 27 February 2025I have been a customer for years. Our systems are great and we have very good security measures in place. But this Vonage system is constantly being intercepted by phishing SMS messages and then we are being charged crazy amounts for fake SMS messages. And when we highlight the issues to this company, they then put the blame on us!!! And won't reinstate or fix our account! My advice would be to use a different company that can actually help their customers and keep their systems safe. And not just blame the customer and block your account with no notice. You guys have blocked my account, with no notifications, costing my business money AND my account is in credit which you are now holding on to!

The staff does not understand simple queries and whenever you contact the all they say is they will look at your request and will get back to you, but no one contacts you back. I would give zeros stars if I had the option.

United Kingdom | 12 February 2025I can confidently say that Vonage is the worst telecom company I have ever dealt with. As the director of a business that relies entirely on the phone—with 6 full-time employees who depend on a working phone system every day—I am absolutely furious. Since 8am this morning, our phone system has been completely blank and inoperable. We've had no response from live chat (their ONLY support option) and no updates on the case we raised. It’s now been half a working day, and nothing has been fixed. The fact that a telecom company doesn’t even offer a telephone number for support is simply ridiculous. On top of that, Vonage is billing us extra amounts, chasing payments for bills that have already been paid, and charging our direct debit without proper authorization. Save every live chat transcript and phone call, because you’ll need proof that you didn’t approve these extra charges. This is the second time our phone system has been down for more than a day. For a company that should know about phone systems, this level of unreliability is a complete joke. It’s costing us more money in lost business than it would have to switch to a reputable provider. I’m moving all my business away from Vonage and will be claiming compensation for the downtime. Vonage provides zero customer support, an appalling service, and a billing team that seems to do nothing but rip you off. Avoid them at all costs.

However, after setting up a direct debit and testing the calls, it became clear this was not the case. Since then, I’ve tried to resolve the issue, but the process has been incredibly frustrating. The online chat and email support seem designed to avoid addressing the problem. Despite escalating the issue, no solution has been provided, and no one has followed up with me. Even the person who set me up has stopped responding to my emails. Vonage is quick to contact you when they want your business, but as soon as there’s an issue, they disappear and leave you stranded. This lack of accountability and support is unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering Vonage to be very cautious. Their customer service is severely lacking, and resolving issues is a nightmare.

The service is quite affordable and provides a great user experience, especially their intuitive app. On the rare occasions I've needed customer support, they've been quick and efficient in resolving any issues. Despite several attempts to resolve the issue, including emails to their accounts team and a lengthy chat session, the response was unsatisfactory. Even a simple request to check what I had originally signed for was not addressed. I provided a screenshot to support my case, but it was simply ignored. I repeatedly asked for a review of my existing contract, but the focus was only on explaining the charges. The lack of immediate support and the 30-minute unresolved conversation was disappointing. I expected better communication and resolution from a service provider like Vonage
