Not only are they knowledgable about the software, but the actual phones as well. Marc was SO patient with me and walked me through everything step by step and seriously made everything so easy to understand and was just amazing. I greatly appreciated this service in general for what it does, but now I'm even more of a fan because of their fantastic customer service associates.

United States | 28 October 2022While the Pinwheel monitoring platform and app ecosystem work well enough (we experienced many of the same glitches outlined in other one star reviews), the phones Pinwheel uses are horrible. Our son has gone through two Pinwheel Slim phones at this point in less than a year. Both stopped working after being dropped on the ground and causing a small amount of screen damage. Both phones had on the screen protector and case Pinwheel sells when they were dropped. The phone brand they use (Blu) is not popular enough for our local phone repair stores to carry replacement screens. Our only option is to buy another phone through Pinwheel - where they will sell you a refurbished Slim for a slight discount if you contact the support team. They do sell a "rugged" phone option, but at this point I have no faith in any of their hardware. I'm not willing to give Pinwheel an additional $250 to take another chance. Buyer beware. When the first phone broke, I suggested that Pinwheel offer third-party insurance for their phones (like almost all other companies that sell cell phones), and I was told that wasn’t part of their business model. I think it is unfortunate and unsustainable that their business model is to ask parents to buy a new phone every time one is dropped. If I can get insurance for a used iPhone at a third-party reseller, Pinwheel can offer insurance for their phones especially when Pinwheel's target audience are accident-prone teens.

I even got disconnected with her at one point and panicked thinking I would have to start over with someone new, but I told the new person I NEED CHEN and she passed me right back to her. This is what customer service should look like. 5 starts Chen, and 5 stars for Pinwheel customer service
