The Rocker-Plate arrived soon after my order. It was already ready for action. Only my Wahoo Kickr Core needed to be fixed on the upper plate. It was a little bit difficult to reach the screw nut between the plates but it worked well anyway. The action is perfect- now I know that I missed something in the past. In Action ist die Plate super - jetzt weiß ich, dass ich in der Vergangenheit etwas vermisst habe.

Very quick delivery, easy to set up and enjoying the ride so far. Was a bit confused about where to position the trainer initially, but after quick email to Steve I had clear instructions and everything seems to be running smoothly.

After a lot of research on rocker plates and trainer motion solutions, I purchased the RealPlate React DIY kit, with fore & aft movement, from Turborocks. The DIY kit includes everything but the bottom and top plates. The kit parts appear to be very high quality. The kit is easy to assemble once the top and bottom plates are done. Making the plates can be as simple as cutting plywood with a jig saw and drilling the mounting holes or as complex as using a CAD program to customize the plates for your specific trainer and using 6 different power tools and numerous hand tools. This depends solely on your desire for the appearance and finish of the plates. I got a beautiful product at the end but it was a lot of work. I am semi-retired, have all the woodworking and hand tools, and the space necessary, so it was a fun project. If you want a nicely finished product without all the work or don't already have the tools and space, I would skip the kit and buy the finished product. As to performance, I am really happy with the result. The rocker plate is very comfortable and adds a dynamic dimension beyond just sitting and grinding out watts. This is no risk of tipping over, but if you want to stay straight up, you actually have to balance with minute body movements. Otherwise you will find yourself riding while leaning 6° to the right or left. I think the need to balance is beneficial, particularly for older riders where balance, unused, can deteriorate. I believe the rocker significantly relieves stress on your body and your bike frame. I would definitely go for the fore and aft movement model over just the side-to-side rocker. Steve, at Turborocks, was very helpful and responsive to my questions. Overall, great experience!

Purchased the real plate+ and it arrived well packed via courier in 3 days! Fairly easy to set up with my wahoo kickr, though the supplied clamps are a bit fiddly. Came with 3 inflatable balls, one of which had a leaking valve. Contacted Steve and he promptly sent some replacements, no questions asked ..... Superb customer service! Have only done 3 rides on it so far on FulGaz but it makes a noticeable difference to a fixed trainer. Set up fairly slack it even mimics out of the saddle climbing pretty well. I highly recommend it if you do a lot of indoor cycling.

I am riding on the Realplate for more than two weeks til now and I am absolutely convinced of it! The lateral and fore/aft movement adds a noticeable feeling of realism to my riding as well as activating the core muscles and in terms of comfort, I am feeling a significantly relief of sitting soreness. I also experimented with the air pressure of the bladders and found out that, for my needs, the best setting is "as less air as possible, as much air as necessary"; when deflating the bladders for too much, I experienced loosing control of the side to side movement, so, finding the individual best "bladder setting" is crucial but easily to apply. Out of the saddle riding requires some "rethinking" as you are tilting in the wrong direction initially, but can be easily compensated by engaging the core and the upper body and using opposing forces to establish "correct" movements, e.g. pushing down the left arm simultaneously when pushing down with the right leg. The Realplate added a new dimension in Indoor riding for me and I can recommend it to everyone who wants to experience more realism when using trainers!

This is close to perfection. And I'm not only reviewing the rocker plate itself. I'm reviewing the whole customer experience. Steve - the business owner - is a lovely guy that really deeply cares about each customer and tries to make every experience perfect from the purchase to the use. The plate itself surpasses my expectations both in terms of build quality and functionality (and so far only a dozen of hours on it).

From start to finish... ordering, production and shipping is perfectly organised. Communication is as friendly as it is adequate, personal and professional. Really looking forward to play with the Rockr Plate. Thanks for all the effort!

Really happy with my Turborocks Rocker Plate. I can't use my trainer without it now. The fore/aft movement on the react model is really making a difference. Shipped almost ready to use out of the box. Just secure the trainer on the plate and inflate the balls. It takes a few rides to get used to the movements, but you don't want to go back after that. Good communication with Steven, before and after my purchase.

I have been pondering getting a rocker plate for some time now and after a lot of research I decided to buy the Realplate React. I liked the fact it was made in the UK and the reviews I could find were all positive. The order was placed and I had it in my apartment within 5 days, can't fault that. The rocker plate comes pretty much all setup, just add some air and attach the trainer and bike and off we go. Well not quite off we go, the trick to getting it right is adding the air, you really don't need much at all to get the full effect. I as probably others have done put too much air in and it just didn't feel right. After a bit of adjustment and a few short test runs it still didn't feel right and I was wondering if I had made a mistake ordering a rocker plate. So I thought lets just get on as it is and ride, a Zwift Fondo of 32 miles. Well all I can say it was amazing! What a transformation the rocker makes, movement was fluid, power seemed to be up and the whole Fondo just seemed more realistic with the movement given by the rocker. So to sum up, amazing piece of kit, stick with it if you get one and just remember you don't need much air and a short test will not show you just how good it is.
