I’ve had an ICE card for a few years and has been great. However for some reason 6 months ago the app would not let me load money. Just gave me an invalid card number message but my card is fine and in fact will load on the website just not through the app. Have contacted customer services twice and they do not seem particularly bothered, just tell me to delete and reload the app which makes no difference. The second time I spoke to them they said they would escalate the matter and call me back but never heard anything so I took out a WeSwap card instead.
