After reading so many reviews I contacted Craig to book an appointment for my son who has autism. Unfortunately, at that time he was fully booked but Craig contacted me as soon as a cancellation slot became available. We've just been to the shop for my son's appointment and I now know why the reviews are so great. Craig was great with my son and made us all feel at ease and comfortable. My son has walked out with a brilliant hair cut, a smile on his face and his next appointment booked in... this has never happened before with any other barbershop. Thank you SO much, Craig. Absolutely amazing experience at Craigs barber shop. It took 5 long years and hundreds of miles travelled before we found this barber shop on our doorstep. To find a barber so patient and friendly when you have an Autistic child is really rare and Craig deserves every rave review he gets! Definitely recommend and we will be back :)

I took my two little boys who have autism to have their hair cut by Craig as he had come highly recommended. I’m so glad I did. Craig was amazing with them.

I took my little boy to Craig today for his haircut. Craig was amazing with Jack. He usually cries his heart out and won't let anyone near him but from the moment we walked into Craig's barbers it felt so homely. Craig was so welcoming and calm. Jack settled straight away and had his hair cut without an issue. Thank you so much we will be back soon.

Took my daughter to have her haircut, she's autistic and struggles with people being near her but Craig put her at ease and was able to remove some of the knots and cut her hair to a manageable length, the whole experience was absolutely fantastic, I will definitely be taking her back.

Craig was excellent with my son, it was his first haircut and we was unsure how he would react. Craig's calm and welcoming presence put him at ease which made the experience stress free! We will definitely be returning. Thanks again, Craig.

My son Devon has autism and absolutely hates having his hair cut,last time we took him we left as he become so distressed.i seen a article in the paper about Craig's barber shop and booked a special needs appointment,took Devon with not much hope that we would leave with a haircut...well I was wrong Craig was absolutely amazing yes it wasn't easy but he had all the time in the world played with my son got down on the floor I can't recommend him enough,already booked our next visit....thank you so much Craig

Great experience and excellent service. My son has autism and sensory processing needs. Craig was caring and had patience to get the job done something that we haven't achieved anywhere else.

Craig is an excellent barber. Always does a great job and is always there to listen, even when I'm probably moaning about my own issues. If your looking for a guy who can do basic to high end styling, this is the guy for you. Great price and great guy.

I came with my nephew a week ago and he has autism too. Craig was amazing. It was an emotional and difficult appointment but we go there in the end. James now can't stop rubbing his freshly shaved head and seems so much more comfortable in himself! Thank you so much Craig ❤️👍 xx

My little boy came in. He has autism with limited language and understanding as well as ADHD. Since corona virus he is nervous of anyone touching him. Craig was amazing, let Harris be himself. Get up when needed and just chill on the floor with his box of fidgets. Thank you so much. His hair looks amazing and more important to us Harris came out smiling having had an amazing experience. 🥰😊

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I visited Craig’s earlier today, immensely pleased with the result. Felt at ease, which is unusual for for when I’m getting my hair cut, very understanding, almost like he could read my mind. I was never pressured into making conversation - and yet instead had a good laugh I wasn’t expecting! I also received the high quality cut I was after. Cheers!

Can not recommend this man enough! We've tried many places for hair cuts/trims but this has been the best by far. Craig was very patient, easy going and fun while cutting my little man's hair making what is usually a traumatic experience for him a lovely fun time, he now wants to go again.

Craig was excellent with my toddler. Usually it's screaming tantrums but when we got there it was calm walked in sat down within 15 minutes hair was done

Took my 4 y.o. autistic son for a haircut. He really struggles having it done. Craig told us to book a slot for additional needs to give him more time. He was really patient with him, and even had a sensory fish lamp and bag of sensory toys. Nobody else waiting in the salon as it's one client at a time. Craig was really understanding and Jack got a proper haircut! Best experience we have had hair cut wise, and really nice to find something that caters for autistic kids :-). Would definitely recommend for children with additional needs

Craig is AMAZE!!!! Let me paint the picture… My son is 4 and is terrified of the barbers. I mean TERRIFIED! As soon as we entered Craig’s he sobbed a tear or two but was quickly put at ease by Craig’s voice and reassuring words. He let Rhys pick out a comb and scissors, and with understanding, explained how he was going to use them. The experience, compared to previous visits to other barbers, was second to none. Craig showcased patience, understanding and communicated with Rhys throughout. Here’s hoping we can layer on top of this positive experience and beat the fear!!!
