We always use hotel direct to book our theatre /hotel breaks …competitive prices , easy to use website , friendly staff who sorted out rebooking following the pandemic … never ever had a problem , everything flows without a hitch , would highly recommend

Our hotel was changed a few days before we were due to go away, but this was all arranged by hotelsdirect.and they didn't let us down it was lovely ,would even say in a better location .We had a great time at the show and getting to it from our hotel we easy . Would definitely use again

During the pandemic and lockdown the original trip had to be cancelled and I accepted a voucher. 18 months later we had our booking accepted and sorted very quickly and we had the same hotel and theatre booking as originally planned. Well done everything went smoothly and we had an enjoyable weekend.

Paid 450 pounds to watch a show and stay in a hotel as a package !! Checked into hotel and walked to the theatre and was told show cancelled ! Paid 50 pound to park the car overnight and had to pay more out as expenses . Phoned customer service this morning and told they would’ve have to call the theatre and not to expect a refund for the hotel as we used it!!! Yes we did but this was sold as a package !! We were not planning to spend more money at the hotel but we had to !! So should we have taken our bags to the theatre and then checked in after the show ? Or not checked in ? When the usual procedure is to get changed and have a pleasant evening at the theatre . Total disgrace . Very disappointed , 450 pounds of hard earned money for a birthday present .

Due to an unforseen family matter we were not going to be able to go on our rail and hotel 4 day break to London. After contacting customer services and explaining the circumstances the young lady we spoke to was the most understanding, polite friendly and helpful customer service representative I have ever spoken with, dealing with our problem expertly and in good time leaving us with a full refund. Thank you very much because. I would not hesitate to book another trip away with Holiday direct. Thank you once again from the Wood family 😊👍

My partner booked a surprise visit to London to celebrate our engagement with Hotel Direct, this trip included rail travel plus hotel stay totalling £543, Hotel Direct emailed my partner requesting we destroy rail tickets and a refund will be issued due to Lockdown, we did as we were told, This was eight weeks ago and still no refund despite numerous emails to Hotel Direct, Hotel Direct claim they have issued a refunded through Worldpay 15 days ago but no money has reached our bank account, we have now contacted Worldpay to trace transaction. The stress this issue has cause is very unnecessary, Hotel direct come across as helpful but the response we have via email are just to wait it can take up to 10 days to reach our account, 8 weeks later still no sign of our money. Sad to see other reviews of this nature regarding Hotel Direct at a time of a pandemic when most people including ourselves are struggling financially. Why have we had to wait 8 weeks plus for a refund ? Why after 10 working days is our refund still not in our account? We want answers !!!

Booked a hotel and theatre trip months ago that obviously did not take place. Was sent a credit note that I was happy with. After a few months decided to apply for a refund. My email request was replied to very quickly, and advised that was fine, but could take 4-8 weeks to process due to the volume of requests. Pleased to say the refund was received within 3 weeks. Delighted with the way and speed my request was dealt with and I shall use this company again when shows restart. Thank you HotelDirect.

I would advise against using Hotel Direct. I had a theatre/hotel/rail booking for late March which was cancelled because of the current crisis. Their customer lines closed immediately so there was no one to speak to, emails were responded to with a general statement about a credit note. Specific questions were not answered. I requested a refund because the occasion we were celebrating had passed. 2 months on and I have had no response, no credit note and no refund. I know times are difficult but at the very least one would hope for a polite customer service and replies to emails. The cost of my package was nearly £400. 27 May Hollie of Hotel Direct responded to the review above by saying that all emails had been responded to, which was not the case. She then asked me to email again, which I did on 19th May. To date, the 27th May I have have had no response. They are uncontactable by phone - the excuse that the government won't allow offices to open is untrue, offices complying with safe practise around the country are open, if not fully then at least to field phone calls. I understand the considerable difficulties of the situation but at least companies must make themselves accessible and responsive. Hotel Direct are neither.

I booked a weekend away for my wife and in London,a show, couple of nights in a good hotel and rail travel. This was for the end of March, and part of our 55th Wedding anniversary ( 6th March) celebrations. Well of course it all went wrong and we all know why. Turning to HOTEL DIRECT, they have been brilliant. They contacted ME, and they have now sent me a voucher, fully covering the money I paid them last November. I cannot understand why people have to have a go at companies that are trying their very best in what is acknowledged as the worst situation to hit not just us, but the whole World in 60 years, if not a hundred years. Just grow up and show a bit more empathy and tolerance with a company that would appear to be trying its very best. Lets hope THEY all stay safe. Colin G Poplett

Do not use this company. Once Coronavirus started they could not be contacted until miraculously after the booking passed and we had a snotty letter saying because the hotel was open - tough no refund. The Prime Minister of the Country said do not go to London on the Friday our booking was for the Saturday. Once this is all over remember these companies and how they behaved. Note After seeing the message from the company below I can not see how they were constrained from picking up the phone when called or answering emails. I state again the night before travel the Prime Minister said he was locking down London. He said do not travel. So who in their right mind would head for city under those circumstances. Their response highlights just what type of company they are and post covid 19 I hope they do not get future business.
