Spain | 22 October 2024I wanted to try Yeschef for the recipes but seems like it wasn't what I was looking for. The website claims that it has a 30-day-money-back-guarantee. So, I was relieved. I tried to contact yeschef multiple times via multiple means but failed, I sent them 10 emails a day, no response from them, their chat support also doesn't seem to work as I've written so many times there. I have contacted my bank because of the merchant's ignorance. Hopefully, they will solve the case. I don't think Yeschef has any staff to get into contact. Edit: They refunded whole amount. Overall, I'd say my experience was not bad.

United Kingdom | 17 October 2024I also had an auto renew of £147 taken out of my account. I contacted yes chef, just before the transaction went from my bank to say that I hadn’t used last years prescription for months and I wasn’t going to use another years worth and I have been in an e mail ping pong with Kevin ever since, UNTIL that is, he stopped replying to my messages. One e mail was actually addressed to another person, which would tell me that their responses are copy and paste to get to a point where we will either give in or forget that money has been taken from our accounts under VERY false pretences. As a new subscriber, you have 30 days to cancel, not it seems as a renewable customer!!! I have asked Kevin to escalate my complaint, then asked for his managers details, so that I can complain to someone in authority and I have now been ignored. Very bad practice. I’m hoping Jamie reads these reviews and does something about it.

Sweden | 04 October 2024Charged £191 for hidden autorenwal. update - after pushing back on the initial reply email I have received a full refund. It is such a shame that companies use these tactics as I thought the product was good but it is really important to let people know when you are taking money from their bank account. Thank goodness for trustpilot

Canada | 03 October 2024Be aware of the auto renewal subscription, they dont tell you and you really dont know its a renewal, they just charge me 313$ yesterday without me knowing it was auto renewal. Hopefully they will offer me full refund. If they do refund i will come back to edit my review. If they dont you will also know.

Canada | 01 October 2024I had an unexpected charge on my account- yes chef automatically withdrew an annual subscription without notice. I am not happy and now have to chase and speak with someone who will hopefully reply from customer service. This is so wrong!! Update: Oct 1st- still no one has reached out to contact me for a full refund. The response below from a yes chef rep is not true, terrible customer service and sales tactics. No company should ever automatically renew a membership without a reminder to the customer. Sales tactics that rope customers in on promo offers, then increase subscription fees at annual renewal dates without the customer's knowledge is shady business! Update: Oct 14th,2024 I finally did get the refund, with an apology email, - But their policy has still not changed. Buyer beware! There are no customer agents to reach out to immediately, you will be sending emails to get your refund, and they will withdraw the money automatically the following year without giving you any notice.

Canada | 26 September 2024I had an unexpected charge for my YesChef subscription that led to a frustrating experience. However, Kevin and the team demonstrated exceptional customer service by addressing my concerns thoroughly and professionally. They took the time to understand my situation and worked diligently to resolve it. After a thoughtful discussion, I received a full refund, which restored my confidence in their commitment to customer satisfaction. I appreciate their proactive communication and willingness to go above and beyond. I highly recommend YesChef for its great culinary content and outstanding customer support!

Germany | 17 September 2024I especially like the absolute professionality of the film making. The videos I watched so far where very entertaining, apart from the fact that I also already learned a lot.

United States | 15 September 2024They're crooks. Won't let you cancel your renewal at the time of the renewal, so you get a $180 charge for a lame service. Then they fight you on it with lies. Spend the $180 on cookbooks. Nothing insightful on this site.

Bosnia and Herzegovina | 11 September 2024I was positively surprised with decision of YesChef to help me and sort ou an issue that was my fault actually. Now I am happy and can enjoy yeschef video clips for the next 12 months and learn new techniques. Kevin thank you.

Romania | 09 September 2024I don't have an account, I don't have an application installed, nothing in my emails, just promotional emails, and yet, yeschef tries to charge me about 200 euros!! fortunately it's blocked by my card. It's impossible to contact anyone, I go to their site, no contact page. Nothing. Just an AI chat that is not able to explain to me what's going on... Scam!

United Kingdom | 23 August 2024Like others I have found this to be a real scam. There are ridiculously high charges for renewal of your subscription. A year after I joined there was a charge of £185, well over twice what I paid for the initial subscription. One email from customer services and nothing else, no replies to my questions. Appalling website, don’t sign up unless you’re rich

Spain | 22 August 2024Edit: The YesChef website has some big issues which detract powerfully from the excellent content found within the site. Here are the problems I know of: If you are gifted a subscription to the website from someone, YesChef demand that you enter your own debit card number which it uses to create an automatic auto-renew for the next years subscription at a cost of $180, many sites of course have automatic auto-renews, but it is surprising, somewhat unnerving, when you have been gifted something to find out that you are being demanded your card details, perhaps YesChef could consider changing this. This is the first issue. The next is that the website is designed in such a way that finding the place to turn off the auto-renew is very difficult to find. and then when you finally get to the point when you can turn it off it is very ambiguously worded/designed, in a way that it looks like you are being forced to cancel your whole subscription, not just the auto-renew. Giving the benefit of the doubt to YesChef, maybe it is just bad design that is causing the problems, but surely they have enough feedback from enough people that this is a serious issue that they can do something about it and change it. They have excellent content and chefs on the platform who have given their names and credibility to this service, they deserve better. I have spoken to Kevin from YesChef customer services, they assure me the auto-renewal is turned off, have gifted me an extra years subscription, and say that my complaint has been taken seriously and has been forwarded to the founder of the company. This is all for the good, they seem to have a good customer complaints team, but its the website design team that need to do some work. I have changed this to a 2 star rather than 1 star review to reflect the customer service response, and the excellent content available once you are inside the website. If I hear from YesChef that they have actually managed to fix the website design, I’ll add some more stars and help them repair the damage done to their reputation.

Romania | 21 August 2024Helfpul customer service, but do not forget to turn off that auto-renew!

United Kingdom | 25 July 2024I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience with YesChef. I had tried to cancel my annual subscription before it renewed, but the system still signed me up for another year. I attempted to cancel and it would not let me. Despite reaching out to the company on the same day I was charged, the company have pretended to show support and remedy the situation “for my satisfaction”, by offering another year free as well as a gift card for a family member or friend, but as you may have seen in other 1 star reviews, these poor people receiving gifts also end up having to subscribe thus getting charged an extortionate amount. I have explained numerous times now that I just want to be refunded and cannot afford their premium subscription cost due to my place of work being greatly affected by the writers strikes in the US. They have not acknowledged my situation at all. Their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, leaving me stuck with a subscription I did not want. It’s clear this company prioritizes profits over customer satisfaction. I strongly advise others to think twice before subscribing to their services. Please be warned and avoid YesChef if you value transparent and responsive customer support. I will be taking this further, given that I had tried to cancel my subscription and still been charged.

New Zealand | 11 July 2024Please take care when signing up for this service. They charge more than the amount advertised and you cannot get a refund, Their offerings are not as advertised. Suspect this is a scam.

United States | 10 July 2024I was just charged 240 dollars to renew a membership that was gifted to me. I can’t get a hold of anybody. Crooks! Don’t do it!
