It’s been 7-months and I'm seeing some results. From about month 4 I had some little hairs starting to grow in my hair line. I was thinning out in my part, post baby #3 and it just wasn't stopping which was starting to worry me. When I initially enquired I was still breastfeeding so couldn’t start treatment, but once I stopped, I began taking the pill. The Hairy Pill has been amazing for me! A little over a year ago I was upset at how little hair was left on the top of my head. I've been taking this medication over 3 months when it was time to review my medication, they didn't even know what quantity I was taking and had to call me back. Don't think it was a Dr. it was more like a call center. My hair is still shedding and not sure what to do next??

I've had a really good response in the seven or so months I've been with The Hairy Pill. The manner in which the specific levels of each active ingredient are tailored to the user and are subsequently adjusted over the program was quite impressive. Rather than jumping straight into a large standardised dose of certain medications (as is the case with other treatments), the program builds up your dosage, and plateaus the dosage as soon as the maximum benefit is reached. Doing so seems to have limited the potential for adverse side effects while also ensuring I'm not unnecessarily taking higher levels of drugs. Historically, I've used Finasteride 1mg and topical minixidil for several years at a time and that seemed to barely maintain my hair. This time around, with The Hairy Pill, I have new growth and the hair that is growing seems much thicker than previously. I've always had very fine light brown hair, but it now appears much darker and healthier which in turn also makes my scalp look fuller. My libido is unaffected (this was an issue with a previous, less-tailored solutions), but there has been slight increase in water weight (I'm usually 85kg, but now sit at around 90kg) that is likely a result of the oral Minoxidil. So far, it's manageable with some slight changes to my diet which probably also improves my overall health. I don't exercise at all, but I'm confident that if I started being more disciplined, water weight wouldn't be an issue at all. I'm still early in the system, and hair growth should become more noticeable after twelve months. One pill a day for these results - seems pretty damn brilliant to me.

I have now been a patient for 3 months! I use the word patient because there’s constant reviews with GP's and unlike all other treatments, Its science based and patient based and no up-sell products. Im super happy with everything. I spent the best part of 4 years applying topical Minoxidil religiously to my scalp twice a day and wasn't a fan. Anyone considering treatment like this should see a dermatologist IN PERSON. Don't bother with these online providers. Its happy days at the start until you have any actual problems then you are on your own. Then its just the same response will look worse before it gets better. 3-6 months before you see visible results etc.. Was using minoxidil for over a year and all that was happening was really bad shedding and weight gain (almost 10 kg). I appreciate that shedding is apart of the process of minoxidil but this is only what I discovered after taking it for so long. Had they been upfront about it and its severity I would have never taken jt.. Every time I spoke with their Dr's they would just have no real answer and if they did have answers it would contradict the previous Dr's response 3 months earlier. They appear to be contractors and incredibly rude when I was questioning their advise, as it was diferent everytime. I do worry about the long term effects on my heart with this as the director advised me that oral minoxidil otherwise known as "Loniten" is an absolutely sh#t treatment for blood pressure.. His exact words.. 3-6 months turned into possibly 1-2 years before seeing results. So much conflicting information it was driving me up the wall. Meanwhile the director was quite enthusiastic about increasing my dose. No thanks... Not sure anyone is aware, you can get a prescription direct from your GP finasteride is approx $17. And if you choose to use topical minoxidil you can add that via foam and not mess with your heart. This is not suitable for everyone and once you are in their pipeline they are more than happy take your cash and see what happens. Just an overall tumultuous experience i wish i had never opted for. Again, just see your GP and a Dermatologist.
