Nice looking bikes, but the freewheel doesn’t stop ticking and after numerous exchanges on the painted rims and lack of breaking surface causing excruciatingly painful screeching and a refusal from them to change over but instead just sending me some cheaper brakes and an insistence that they would work, I have given up with mango. They also failed to honour a 40% discount on a new saddle when the preferred one wasn’t available at the time of the order. I had heard that they had a name for poor customer service but had thought this had improved. Clearly not.

Information from any correspondence was accurate and friendly. The bike is really good quality and it was easy to assemble. I love the look of it too. Thanks Mango!

The customisation available from the outset sets it apart from other so called 'bigger' bike brands and I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of the parts used in the build. The team at Mango also deserve a mention as they couldn't do more to help and provide assistance when deciding on wheels, gearing, bars or anything for that matter. I haven't had an issue yet with this bike and am probably going to order a geared Mango in the near future. Top class.

United Kingdom | 02 June 2021poor bike, very cheap components and they don't take feedback seriously if the bikes didn't look good I'm not sure Mango would still exist. To be clear I did not discard the components before using them, I discarded them shortly after establishing they aren’t any good. The reply from mango below is indicative of their approach, I’m the problem not the bike…. Avoid at all costs!

United Kingdom | 26 May 2021Bought a custom OG 1x8 in mid April and recieved a little over 3 weeks later. Clocked a good few miles now between the showers, and absolutely love it. Paint finish (custom blue!) is perfect and parts are great. Glad I went for the wider Vee tyres, super comfy on the road. Wasn't sure on what size to go for, but Scott in customer service kept me right and kept me informed throughout. Very grateful. Highly recommended!

Bike arrived exactly how I had designed it and I've been out on it daily for the past few months and haven't had a single issue. Highly recommend this company if you're looking for a quality commuter bike for reasonable price.

United Kingdom | 13 May 2021Poor quality parts. I really hate to complain and write a bad review, I really do. However, I feel like I need to. I have had nothing but problems with this bike. I bought a customised single speed bike, loved the whole idea of it and the look of it. No issues with assembling it whatsoever. First few rides, the handle bars kept coming loose from the stem & my bars kept sliding from side to side. I thought I had installed in wrong. I had checked over at a cycled shop and he said it's not installed wrong it's just cheap parts. I had the whole biked inspected while I was there. Everything was installed proper, just cheap parts he said. I dealt with it, just carried an alan key with me to tighten it when it started to become loose. Then a week later my right peddle snapped clean off while I was riding at a good speed. I fell into the road and nearly got my head squashed. I did pay for the upgraded peddles too. So who knows what the standard ones would be like. I did send a complaint about this. I heard nothing back. So I bought some metal ones which are really good! All the bolts and fittings went rusty within a few weeks, especially the spoke nipples and the springs on the brake pads. I keep my bike in the garage. I have been caught out in the rain a handful of times and I did leave it out one night at a friends house. However, the amount of parts that have gone rusty is unbelievable. Looks like I've kept it outside for a year. All this happend with in a couple of weeks of owning it. I did send a few emails. They did send out a new updated handle bar stem (thank you) but they blatantly brushed aside the rust and peddle issues and said it was down to me. I've tried to love it. I really have and I've held back from this complaint but it's just not fair. The only good thing is the frame. I would never buy from the company again. I'm sorry to leave a bad review but I feel like I've lost out.

I cannot be bothered going into the difficult experience I’ve had with this company as it’s completely exhausting. Avoid at all costs and listen to all the other shocking reviews they have. Like most I would leave 0 stars if I could. **On the back of the response received in this post I must add that the bikes came with these faults which were not damaged by myself therefore Mango should have either been responsible for the repairs or should have allowed me to return the bikes. I had trusted mango to fix these issues as the bikes were a gift, which is why initially I did not return them - to this day the issues have not been resolved. I continue to receive “Happy Cycling!” In all my correspondence which I take offence to and find almost antagonistic- given that the bikes have only been used twice and are unrideable. This is not acceptable behaviour and the other poor online reviews would evidence that you are indeed at fault and there is a real issue with how you operate as a business. I must also add that the investigation from V12 is not over so this is another a falsehood. *** I’d also like to add - the bikes were advertised as “ex demo bikes with some cosmetic damaged but mechanically sound in fully working order”. Both bikes were covered in scratches/scrapes and were both broken and still are so not mechanically sound or in fully working order as advertised. Both bikes are old, damaged and well used and I sense you guys just wanted rid of them. My thoughts are that the bikes had been used by every Tom, Dick and Harry for shop runs, cycling home from work, doing daft wee tricks etc. I have well and truly had my pants pulled down by Mango and would rather you guys were just honest about it, rather than keep repeating the same “moving parts so not covered by warranty” line in your correspondence. I’m struggling to understand which part of a bike is not considered a moving part given that moving is generally the purpose of a bike. 😂 *** Also like to add that I now finally have a response to the independent review from V12 who have found Mango at fault and given me a part refund. I feel this is an important piece of information given your previous response says the opposite.

United Kingdom | 28 April 2021well, what a shame about all these dark reviews. in my experience of working in retail, the service I received from mango, was nothing but perfect. I was spoken to in a helpful and personable manner. Maybe I just called at the right time, but regardless, I couldn't go a step further without recognising the positive and helpful service I received. I can only hope that the mould has been broken, and waiting time are not in excess of months on end :D

Think some of the bad are reviews coming from when the company was trying to get stock through pandemic which most companies where struggling with but 100% for me👍🏻

I ordered my bike during the covid pandemic, and I understand that supply chains have been disrupted as well as the massive increase in demand for bikes. The annoying thing here is that when I ordered my bike, on the homepage Mango advertised a 2 week turnaround time, but it actually took four months to arrive, there was no communication with me during this time until a generic “sorry for the delay” message 9 days after my order. Eventually I chased them and was told if I changed the wheels on my bike they could send it the next week because the ones I wanted weren’t in stock. If only they had told me that before it could have saved a lot of annoyance and I would have had a good experience with them. I probably wouldn’t buy from them again due to the customer service but the product is good quality for the price, and looks great.

Emailed them immediately and was only given a partial refund.Contacted Mango and they say it’s in their terms and conditions. Contacted Paypal and they say what Mango are doing is not Paypal policy and a full 100% should have been given. Anyone who buys or sells using Paypal knows this. I am posting this to give people warning of My experience with this Company. Mango wanted feedback on the review I gave,I told the truth,the kept My money. they are shameless rogues

Ordering it online was really easy, it arrived incredible quickly (only a few days after I ordered it!) and I had regular updates from the courier re exact time of delivery. I've been riding it around London in lockdown and it's been amazing, such a good bike and so liberating to get a change of scene :). Really happy with my purchase, thanks Mango!

Contact with the company has been great too. Very friendly and helpful. The bikes themselves exceeded my expectations. Great quality and real head-turners. I wouldn't hesitate to order from these guys again. Highly recommended.

United Kingdom | 24 February 2021Needed a new fixie and previously had a Charge Plug which needed a fair bit of work to, so decided to replace. Initial delivery estimate was far from live and dates seem to come and go without update and very slow replies to emails. I completely appreciate Covid has made everyone's life difficult and delays are inevitable. However a live communication feed would have been appreciated, it ended up being 4 months in the end. I had to upgrade rims right at the end just to get the bike to me. Cheap parts such as the chain and free wheel sprocket need to be upgraded. I have had the bike on the road for 4 months and ride 6 miles a day and already have substantial rust on both these parts. I did email the team who proceeded to give me a science lesson on how rust occurs. Not to be rude but I am very aware of conditions which cause rust. However I wouldn't expect to see rust on a bike of fours months old. I have been cleaning and greasing once a week. A new chain was sent out free of charge, but just upgrade these parts as standard and charge an extra £20 for the bike. To be honest no one wants rusty parts on their bike at the best of times especially if its nearly brand new. Some parts on the bike are quality for the price so just follow this through the whole unit. However it does ride really nicely, paint job is good and saddle is comfy. A few tweaks to customer service and a few parts would really make the business and product stand out

United Kingdom | 18 January 2021Only giving a 3 star because the bike is pretty good. The problem with mango bikes is their communication to the customer. They never respond to customer emails unless it’s something the have done wrong or it’s urgent. The progress screen is a joke, please change the “bike added to build list” with an actual progress to where the bike is. And like the review below I had the same problem with wheels but I did buy some 6spokes instead which I don’t regret because it looks sick. Just fix your website , be honest with customers before they pay for an order with at least a realistic delivery date, and just answer your damn email other than when you’ve messed up.
