In their dealings with my daughter and her fiancé they demonstrated a complete lack of professional competence and integrity. Starting with blatant lies about how great the landlord was at the very first meeting with them, encouraging a 'bidding war' with another potential tenant and ending with failure to send in cleaners contracted at the end of the tenancy by my daughter and incompetence in receiving the keys at vacation. I personally delivered them to the branch on my daughter's behalf where a young woman was extremely rude, telling me in a derogatory manner ‘You don't need a receipt'. They then later claimed the keys had not all been handed in and put my daughter and her fiancé under duress to take the responsibility for this but then actually found them. During the tenancy the landlord proved time and time again how not to behave when dealing with tenants throughout their year-long tenancy. (I have been a landlord for over 25 years so am well aware of the process and expected relationship with tenants). She made threats both verbal and written and was generally extremely difficult to deal with over even the slightest issue, demonstrating inappropriate behaviour such as entering the property without notice, emailing with complete disregard for GDPR rules and many other failures that were unacceptable, including retaining a £1500 deposit at the end of the tenancy over a claim for a 'loose toilet seat' even though cleaners had been in to the property after they had vacated and the new tenant had been in situ for three days. This was only released after my advice to notify the agent they would be taking this matter to the Tenancy Dispute Service. For all these reasons they cannot be recommended for rentals and if this is their standard behaviour, for anything else either.
