Then Anne tried to offer me a substandard wine that retailed for a lot less as a replacement. When I asked if there was an equivalent alternative I got no response. Three days later I seen a refund with no contact or follow up. Then 2 days after that I got an email to say the original order has shipped, it was in stock and I was recharged after I had placed an order elsewhere. In short I was out of pocket. WIneOnline.ie should not be operating an e-commerce business. It's not that hard to coordinate inventory, especially with tech today. Unprofessional and a joke to quite honest. Actually used Wineonline by accident as I usually use Wines Direct. I'll be going back to them.

Australia | 17 April 2017Wine I ordered was out of stock. Except I found out a couple of days after I had ordered and paid for it. The system accepted my money without linking to the stock levels - how can that happen in this digital age? The wine was a time sensitive gift. When I found out (via email) it was the weekend in Ireland and too late to get the suggested replacement out in time. I was offered an alternative wine but was told nothing about its age. I had to ask via email. I had ordered a 2010 vintage and the replacement was 2013. Again the reply was curt. I just checked the correspondence again. Not once did anyone apologise. I had missed the date of delivery(the wine was a birthday gift) so because I was able to get it delivered the next day I accepted the replacement. Not sure it was a good deal as I knew the wine I first ordered but not its teplecement. For balance in this review I have used this website several times before without these problems.

Ireland | 02 April 2017I got a 50£ voucher, I had an option to buy , case of reds, or white, or mixture, with discount, each wine bottle on add priced around 9.99£ , with discount costed 70€ for me including shipping to Ireland , all sound great, I did payment true phone. In a few days I received a case of wine, but then I opened all wine was different, was nothing like described. All wine was Romanian with average price 3£ a bottle. I phoned few times, and second week waiting for refund. Really disappointed.

Website relatively easy to use, Will was very helpful when I sent a message on the webchat, and the wine was delivered within 2 days of ordering. Also nice that there is an option to send a gift note too!
