Overall the course was awesome. I had no problems at all with my instructors, they were all great. The only concern I had, was with my quizzes. Whoever was in charge of making those really messed up for Dental terminology. I would always go over my quiz once I finished to see what i got wrong and why, only to see that a lot of the questions that were marked wrong, were in fact right. The quizzes had A LOT of errors. So every week, once I was done my quiz I had to go over it to make sure I wasn't getting answers marked wrong that were right, and then I had to constantly write my instructor to ask her to fix it. It was just a huge pain, and for the cost of the course, I shouldn't have even had that issue. I also had an issue with my practicum. I wasn't told I'd need a certain operating system in order to do the virtual practicum, so when purchasing my computer I didn't even look into that. Then I ended up having problems for 2 weeks trying to get the practicum to work. I suggest letting students know that if they plan to do the virtual practicum to let them know what operating system they will need on the computer they get.

CD-ED gave me a chance to start a fulfilling and promising career. The instructors are eager to help and see their students succeed.

Very helpful and supportive. My time as a student so far has been fantastic, and I'm confident I'll be ready for my career by the time I graduate thanks to the support of all their wonderful staff.

I love it. Teachers are routing for you. They don't want you to fail. The program fails only when you fail the program. I know that sounds cheesy but its true. if you put the work in. Talk to the teachers when you are having problems they are there.

The experience with the school was actually pretty good; however, since graduating (with honors) I have found that the college isn't recognized by any of the employers that I have approached :-(

HIM Program Review. I graduated in 2017 but I still keep a good impression of CD-ED College. I received all my study material and schedules on time. Staff members and instructors (99%) were helpful and patient. I got a very good practicum place that helped me with my employment.

I love CDED and the opportunity they have provided me with. The best part is being able to study from home while getting a serious education that will provide me with the skills to get my dream job in the future. I am 22 weeks into my program, and everything has been a positive experience right from the start. My instructor is a lovely guide, who helps me along as I go, helping me to stay on schedule and pushing me to develop my skills each week. The Careers Services Team are very accessible, and I can't wait to take advantage of their services when I graduate. It makes a big difference to know that support is only a phone call away. I was on campus at University of Ottawa for 4 years, and never felt like I had the support there that I do at CDED; I felt like a drop in the bucket at OttawaU. Overall, I am very grateful to be enrolled with CDED and I can't wait to get into my field!

My education and experience with CD-ED has been phenomenal since beginning my course in September! Everyone that I have had a pleasure of speaking to on the phone or emailing has been extremely helpful and beyond nice. The lessons that I am learning every week are going to be beneficial to me in the future when I decide to look for a job in my field of study.

Quite satisfied with the program. Deffinately not the experience in class room, I just hope it doesnt affect my writing my certifications.

I like the course just fine and appreciate the instructors encouragement and patience. It can be intimidating to go back to school in middle age but they are good at guiding me through difficult spots. The only drawback is I would like it better if the instructors were available on weekends. I have to work part time and would work more if I knew help was available on the weekends and not just Monday through Friday.

The instructors are amazing! They always take the time to help, approach you when they know you're struggling, and really take the time to go over anything with you no matter how long it takes. Extremely professional and easy going. They really care about your education. Susan Stevens HIM student

The Centre for Distance Education comes highly recommended. The flexibilty and support you get is like no other school. The education you receive is just the same but you make it work for you. I could never have changed my career with a new baby, house and family if it wasn’t for the opportunity from CDED.

I received what I paid for. I had many issues with instructors, poor communication, and grading being somewhat (and sometimes a lot) subjective.

I enrolled in this program because I wanted to gain knowledge in the biomedical sciences without being a nurse or doctor. I drew personal fulfilment from them. I also wanted to enhance my knowledge in the Health Information Management science. It has taken my performance on the current job at a higher level. And was even upgraded. CD-ED gave me the possibility to attain the above accomplishment while continuing with my current employment. The instructors were very helpful. Whenever I did not manage to complete the assignment on time, I contacted the instructors and they were all understanding. The main instructor, Sandra Cotton, was like a guardian angel. Her accompaniment and helping to contact other instructors were highly valuable. Her constant follow up and encouragements were priceless. The guidance and readiness to answer questions from all instructors on their specific courses were also priceless. The administrative staff were also helpful in giving proper guidance My general comment is that I enjoyed the course and have started recommending it to my friends.

Distance Education is not an easy feat, but the instructors and the curriculum are amazing!

This was one of the best decisions I ever made. The course was challenging, but the staff was absolutely amazing. I got behind and got very discouraged and decided I was just going to quit. But my instructor Joanne Laithe would have none of that. She called me switched around the order of a few components in the course so I could catch up. With out her constant encouragement I don’t think I would have finished. I recommend this school to anyone looking to further their education.

Taking the Accounting Technician course gave me a better understanding of the work I currently do and also allowed me to broaden my skills. I developed a greater sense and understanding of the importance of this type of work and was able to apply the educational material in real life situations. Very happy with my decision to compete this course online and trough CD-ED!

I am a mature student who also owns two businesses. I have been quite impressed with the assignments that are practical and through the practice I am really learning the useful accounting I will use in real life. My contact with my instructor is frequent and I really feel I know her. She is supportive and motivates me. She also has a sense of humour! Top notch and happy I made a decision to enroll in this school for my certification!!
