Does this company even exist anymore? Their website has disappeared and I feel like I've been robbed.

I have owned a TEP wireless wifi device for two years. It never works as advertised. Purchased it for a cruise to the South Pacific island of Fiji. Told it would work there. When I got there, it did not work. When I returned home they said it does not work in Fiji, even though they told me the opposite when I bought it ( which is why I bought it ). Next trip was to Argentina last November, did not work thee either. Called TEP long distance, no help. When I returned they had some other excuse and sent me a new device to replace the one they had sold me. Now trying to use it in the US the other day, did not work. Called TEP, they said it needed to get "refreshed" with a signal from them since it had not been used in a long time. This TEP portable wifi is a piece of garbage. Don't bother renting or buying one, you will be wasting your time.

My Tep was broken. The battery port was bad and it couldn't hold a charge. I spent HOURS of my trip trying to troubleshoot it. The offered to send me a new one which never arrived, then they didn't refund my money. I only got 50% refund. Total RIP OFF. Stay away from TEP.

I live on the East Side of Tucson and have had two recent Power Outages. Both times a Technician was here within 30 minutes. They were very professional and knew exactly what to do. This recent Technician, Dale Erickson was super. He replaced a fuse and said, we will have a new Service Box out here in the morning. Thank you TEP and Dale for being responsive and Professional. I have purchased a device for over $100 from them and now they have disabled it because they upgraded their devices to 4G. They offered the new device for a discounted price of $119 ... well thank you, that's more than I paid for the first device which was made unusable. Do not trust this company. The device was already well overpriced, it was low quality for the price paid and it was very hard to make it work. Plus the connection was slow and expensive, so I only kept it for emergency situations. Regardless, you cannot sell a device if you are going to disable it every time you upgrade to a new connection.

Dropping service for your older devices is not cool. Sure, I get it, the new ones cost money and you send customers a discount. But to just shut it off is BS. Next hotspot I buy will not be from Tep.

I used my 4G Teppy portable device during my last trip through Connceticut, Massachusetts and New York and it worked great. I reccomend it if you're planning a trip and you need to be always connected. Are you a digital nomad? Teppy is perfect for you! It also allows you not to buy data sims that are usually very expensive.

I think an organization demonstrates its true colors when circumstances are challenging. TEP has proven to have an extraordinary customer support and service when faced with a difficulty. You are in good hands with TEP.

Tep wireless failed to provide wireless services on multiple occasions, the worst of which was arriving in Italy, not being able to arrange transport, find the hotel, check restaurant reviews, use online discounts. They offered no compensation and when I complained they offered credits - as if I would ever use them again. It is 2020. I have never had complete coverage from a wireless company before. Use anyone else.

This was the first time I used this company to rent a wi-Fi device for Ecuador. Their response and shipping the device was done on the same day and the best part for me is their live email service where I sent them and email and get back an answer in minutes. This is so preferable over a phone call which takes a lot longer and you can’t get your answers in writing. I wish more companies would have this, in many ways better than instant chat.

Great first experience with a portable WiFi device. Easy steps on how to be connected and had a reliable connection the whole time I was in Bali, Indonesia. Even in some remote surf spots.

I used Tep wireless during my trip through Europe and it was helpful! It was nice not having to worry about sim cards, you simply tap and go! Its light weight and it last a long time when it is fully charged. We charged it at night and turned it on when we were out exploring! I was able to share with another device!

Love love LOVED my Teppy. I recently got back from Jamaica and it helped me stay connected ALL DAY. We were all over Jamaica, even the areas with just hills, valleys and trees. The battery life is AMAZING and long lasting. I had my Tep on all day and 5 devices connected. When I went to charge it at the end of the day, it still was at full battery! My post, live videos and video chats were at fast speeds. Delivery was smooth. I got it 2-3 days before my trip as promised. I am a 1st time user. I will be a return customer! Just one thing I want to mention. It takes about 5 minutes to connect when turning it on. When I realized that, I would just turn it on while I'm still getting dressed so that it be ready for when I needed directions to our destination.

Perfect for solo backpackers who have no final destination. Jumping all around Europe and Asia became easy for me thanks to Tep. Instead of buying sim cards at every airport I'm now just automatically connecting to the internet in every country I have been to. The internet is quite fast even when multiple devices are connected. The customer service are very prompt in responding to some of my questions. Kudos to the team and I highly recommend!

This is the easiest solution I've found so far to have internet around the world. I've never had issues with reception.I've only used it in the United States so far though. It was easy to set up and worked great. I can't say how fast it exactly was but plenty fast enough for me to reply to emails, upload a few files to Dropbox etc. I would definitely recommend this to people who travel a lot and need to have internet access where they go. Even if it's just to use Google Maps, it comes in super handy and is definitely cheaper than roaming in most places.

I have used my 4g Teppy device in three countries so far and absolutely loved it! Not a single time I faced any issues with the network connectivity. I also used it at the top of the Jebal Hafeet mountain in UAE and even at a high altitude the signal connectivity was great. Tep Wireless is a highly recommended travel gadget for all travelers to have a stress-free vacation and it also prevents you from buying the super expensive tourist data sims.

I was looking around for a portable wifi for a long trip across several countries and renting by per trip was extremely expensive. After comparing a few options, I eventually went with Tep Wireless's buy option with comes with one month of wifi access. I ordered it to be delivered to my lodging in London and it arrived and after some setting up, it was up and ready to use. It worked pretty well in most of the places I have been such as London, Tromso, Svalbard, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Bali, New Zealand, Melbourne etc. Nonetheless, not everything is perfect, the wifi service does get disrupted here and there. Expectedly, the rural areas would not get service such as in Milford Sound in New Zealand. However, I also experienced difficulties in Bali or San Francisco which are more built up. Issues tend to come up during the transition of months or right after border crossings. The battery life of the portable wifi could easily last at least half a day and charges pretty quickly with the charger provided. It typically last from 7-8 am to 5pm-7pm on a typical day on a trip and had been able to maintain a stable connection for Goggle Maps my road trips in New Zealand as well. If you are going to several countries within a month or two, do consider Tep Wireless. The customer service is very responsive and helpful too when you encounter issues with the connection. For Singapore users, if you are going to Asian regions, Tep Wireless would probably be expensive compared to local providers such as Changi Recommends with seasonal discounts on rentals. This portable wifi is more suitable if you are flying and going to a few countries in Europe and US which could also be in the form of two-three trips within one to two months when rental by per day could be very costly. A daily rental rate is also available and you could easily switch to that once your month-long trip ends.

I used tepwirelss several months ago and it lead me to buying a device since I have been travelling pretty consistently for work and for fun. The teppy is compact and I keep it in my backpack on at all times giving me a constant connection which lasts all day while I’m out form the hotel or air bnb. Customer service is good majority of the time. The most important aspect is the fact they are available 24 hours even if occasionally they cannot help solve something (note this is usually a connection problem when I am in a remote area) While slightly on the expensive side it is still cheaper than my phone data and I use the Tep+ app (note it is quite buggy! But has worked when I needed it) to make calls and send texts. I used some other competitors in between the my first use and purchasing a teppy and this was the best solution for me.
