I looked up the price of some Denby tableware on 10th November and thought I’d leave it until Black Friday to see if I could get it at a lower price. It’s gone up from £108 to £119. An increase of 10%. Perhaps it says more about Black Friday than it does about Ecookshop

Purchased my pre-lite xmas tree from Dawsons, was excellent value >£50 off the nearest amazon. When it arrive within 2 days, was even more impressed but checking the tree was defective. I was a bit worried but No! Their customer service department was excellent. Prompt response to my emails, even though England was in lockdown. No quibble return ore replacement. I asked for a replacement and it arrived on day and at the time the delivery team said so. Ps Tree works a treat. Happy Christmas Tom. thanks for the great service. keep it up.

I ordered the Kettler Palma Fire Pit set and it was delivered and it is fantastic!!!!! they had the best online price and the customer service was so helpful, on the Kettler Furniture, how it was packaged was fantastic and the really did think of everything

The original parcel arrived slightly damaged, which was disappointing as it was for a Christmas present. The staff were excellent and dealt with my phone-call so competently, easily and without question. The replacement was superbly packed and arrived safely in perfect condition. I cannot thank them enough for the prompt, efficient and exceptional way that my problem was resolved. This is what real customer service is all about and alas, is very hard to find these days. Will gladly use them again and recommend them to anyone and everyone

I bought 2 sets of Gordon Ramsay dinnerware at a great price. They were well-packaged, delivered on time and with good communication. I would definitely buy from them again.

How wonderful to see customer service is stone dead at this store. I ordered a 6 piece knife set from ecookshop/Dawsons, it was a present for my son and daughter in law. It arrived on time in a oversized well packed outer box which I unpacked, it was undamaged. Imagine when our embarrassment when my daughter in law opened the inner box having removed the outer sleeve, all the knives were loose, not secured, they fell on the floor. Not the way to present a gift. I emailed customer services and they requested photos. I duly sent photos and received a reply stating the didn’t know the problem. Well it was pretty obvious I thought. They then decided to ignore my email so I telephoned, what a shocking response, they denied it was their fault as they had checked the internal consignment, twice in fact. The fault is not mine or the courier. It’s the second time I have received damaged goods from this retailer but it will be the last. I wasn’t asking for a return, bit late for that more a bit of understanding, why pay full price for damaged goods better shop elsewhere.

When I realised I had ordered an incorrect item by mistake I contacted them using the ‘contact us’ feature as I did not want to have the fuss of receiving the item and having to return it. I received a email the same day confirming a refund on my order, and an email explaining they had cancelled and refunded so I could reorder the correct item. I was pleasantly surprised as it was a Sunday. They solved my issue immediately and fuss free.

I emailed Dawsons for a price match re some Denby glassware last Friday. The price match was confirmed by email on Saturday. I placed my order on Sunday and received my items today (Tuesday). The extra packaging around the boxed glassware was excellent and I am very happy indeed with my purchases. I would definitely buy from Dawsons again. Many thanks for a great service.

I read mixed reviews online when ordering 2 Hartman Metal Garden chairs.I am so pleased that I decided to order.I ordered the chairs last Monday.I received confirmation and an email next day to say that Palletworld ,HM Deliveries would contact me.After the Email which I received on Thursday I rang them and they arranged for delivery for today 16th October. They kept me informed and gave me a 2 hr delivery slot.The delivery driver was very helpful and polite. All in all a wonderful experience.I would definitely recommend to other people.I am a very happy customer and the chairs look fantastic in my garden.

My BBQ arrived (Campingaz) which I am overall happy with, However my item was reduced the following day by £20! I contacted customer service to see if I could have £20 put back on my card? To be told NO WAY! Ok could you maybe send me a BBQ item? To be told NO WAY! VERY DISAPPOINTED especially being a new customer!!!! Bad customer service!!!

I recently purchased a Jura E8 Coffee machine from Dawsons online. I initially had an issue with the couriers DWD delivering the item but Clare in the online sale dept stepped in and dealt with it quickly and perfectly. Its the first time i have used this company but will definitely be back, great customer service and great prices, in my opinion this is a great mix. Thank you Dawsons.

Firstly, there are some negative reviews about this company, it almost put me off but I’m so glad it didn’t and I went ahead. Please dont let some bad reviews put you off getting a bargain! I purchased a Kitchen Aid mixer in the limited edition Dried Rose colour. I nearly purchased it from Lakeland for £599 when I found it on ecookshop for £499, a huge saving! I’ve not tried it yet, although I purchased it originally it’s my birthday present from my partner so I’m not actually allowed it until next month :( but it arrived quickly, packaged well. If there were any issues on using the mixer it would be a kitchen Aid fault not the store purchased from. Only downside would be that DPD left it in my porch without knocking when my Mother in law was in with my son. She obviously didn’t know it was there and my £500 mixer was left in an accessible porch for 4 hours! But that’s the delivery companies fault. I can’t wait to use it, thank you for the great bargain.

I really wish that I had read the reviews in here before spending £2000 on garden furniture. The product arrived damaged, cushions not matching, and one of the chairs was re packaged like a previous return (there is a theme of this in the reviews). I reported the damages the same day, and it has taken 7 weeks to get a refund. The communication is very slow, each email taking days to get a reply. I only managed to get any real action by quoting consumer law. I really don’t like leaving a bad review, but feel like I need to warn others.

I wanted to order crockery set in sale. I was a bit worried about number of bad reviews so spoke with customer services. They said thousands items sent out each month, some will obviously get damaged, but we expect that, there is a strong replacement service but lots don't follow simple rules. Reassured I ordered. Gods arrived after a couple of days, the manufactures packaging was in second box, then bubble wrap layer, then a third box. Nothing was broken. Kids loved playing with all the boxes and buble wrap. Probably the best wrapped thing I've had delivered in a few years. From what I've seen they are a good company and go to unusual lengths to avoid damage in transit.

We recently purchased a large outdoor dining set from Garden Furniture World. Delivery was timely and well conducted. On assembly I discovered some serious manufacturing defects. I alerted Dawsons who said there would be a delay of a few days before they could even respond. Very concerned, I checked out their Trustpilot reviews. These were depressing. However, when Dawsons did reply, they immediately arranged for - and paid for - collection and shortly afterwards refunded our purchase monies. They did all that could be expected of a decent retailer. Maybe not all the complainers are entirely fair in their criticisms?

Terrible and dreadful service. Two sets of garden furniture ordered, still waiting for some parts six months later. The company are completely disorganised making continual errors, they don't take responsibility and I suspect they must be on the edge of financial ruin - Just relieved have received most of my furniture before the inevitable. DON'T USE THEM!

Terrible after care service - a key screw of my £550 BBQ had a problem with the thread. Repeated calls and no action. Had I not fashioned a fix myself the summer would have passed by without a single items being cooked!

Paid for an espresso machine, arrived within 48 hours. That was the only good part of the whole experience. I opened it and was horrified to see it was filthy, it had been used, the capsules were 9 months out of date, the machine still had a used capsule in it, coffee stains all over the unit, the instruction booklet was ripped, with coffee stains all over it. Called Dawsons immediately, they requested images. Sent images straight away with a covering email requesting an immediate NEW, UNUSED replacement... no response. I called a week later, and spoke to Claire who was very apologetic,she sent me an email advising she would check the warehouse and get a replacement organised.... she didn't. I called again a week later, lots of excuses, she didn't work Tuesday, she'd been very busy etc., she had lots of emails to work through, staff not available etc etc. Bottom line, she said she'd check the warehouse for a replacement, and when I pointed out she'd said she would do that last week, she became very defensive. Bottom Line, I'm having the old one collected, insisted on a full refund, and will NEVER use them again.
