United States | 21 January 2017We had a major flood (80,000 claim)When we would leave the house to go anywhere after the flood we would shut off the water main in fear of another flood. So did some research, and the Flo-Logic system made lots of sense.I installed the system(which was a pretty easy install)Now we can leave the house and not be in fear of another flood. This system was money well spent. Thank You Flo-Logic

United States | 20 January 2017I am on my second Flologic. The first one only lasted somewhere between 15 and 18 years. I can't remember for sure. My second is only 2 or 3 years old. It has already saved damage to my house.

United States | 20 January 2017I started with Flologic when they first produced ver.1 over 10 yrs ago or so. I was looking for a water shutdown system for my home and I knew I saw something in Popular Science magazine about a start up company. After much searching I found them and made immediate contact. I was in constant contact with Chuck and Roger in the beginning. Installed my first system and after many months of good and bad experiences with the system and multiple installs, Ver.2 was released with major improvements. Chuck and Roger never let me down always answered my calls and swiftly responded to my needs or questions. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the system, I believe every home and business needs one of these installed, I was a victim of severe water damage in a home before I found Flologic, never again will this happen to me......

Tahoe Dad
United States | 20 January 2017I have a vacation home in the high Sierras above Tahoe at 7,200 ft. We get serious snow, and serious cold. In 2000 a pipe broke and caused over $100K damage. After that, I started looking for a solution. I found it in February 2007... the FloLogic. We had some installation hiccups, as back then the local contractors and plumbers had never seen such a thing, but once it was properly installed it worked great. Five times since 2007 we've had what could have been catastrophic flood events from leaks that were stopped by our FloLogic before they became more than a small puddle. The battery backup has worked flawlessly, and if the battery drains we've stayed protected. My favorite features are: (a) IT WORKS; (b) the battery backup; (c) simplicity of operation via the small thermostat-sized control panel; (d) the alarm beep that sounds "just loud enough" to let me know there has been a leak event; (e) the adjustability; and (f) the set-it and forget-it programming. We come in, push the Home button, and the FloLogic opens the valve on the water main to the house. It's that simple. After that, we don't have to touch it again. The FloLogic automatically shuts down the main line valve after 18-hours of no use, e.g., no faucets open, etc. If there was a leak in our absence, when we come in the alarm (a not too loud beep) is sounding so we know to look around before pressing Home, and to run down any possible leaks. My house has hydronic heating. If it's not operating at 100% it needs makeup water. With the FloLogic I can provide for that. I can also provide for leaking toilets, etc. The FloLogic helped me fix up my hydronics and leaking toilets by letting me know there was water running -- somewhere. Now my house is leak-free. Not an ounce of unwanted water can flow out without the FloLogic closing the main line and saving me tens, or hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage. I highly recommend the FloLogic and I would very definitely buy it again. CAVEAT: Work closely with your plumber-installer. Mine installed the FloLogic while we were away and added a bypass pipe! That made the FloLogic totally useless. He had all the installation instructions and everything, but did it anyway. I had to make him come back and remove that silliness. Lesson Learned: Don't assume your plumber will understand how these things work. CAVEAT: Read the instructions -- all of them, including the installation data and the programming. The complaints I see in these reviews all reveal the poster had issues understanding or implementing the programming. It's not hard, but it does require attention. The programming is what you live with day-to-day. It is well worth the effort to learn how to use the system properly for your situation. SUGGESTION: WiFi / iOS App interoperability. It would be great to be able to monitor and turn on/off my FloLogic(s) remotely for housekeeping, guests, etc..

United States | 20 January 2017It will definitely show if your copper pipes are leaking under a slab of your home. Here in Florida all water supply lines are under Concrete slab.

United States | 20 January 2017Although it took 2 times to install properly, it has worked flawlessly for 4 years. It detected small leaks several times and has saved me many dollars and prevented damage. I recommend it highly.

United States | 19 January 2017I once had a leak from an upstairs toilet supply line that came through the ceiling. Never again, now that I have FloLogic. It catches even the smallest leaks.

United States | 18 August 2016This system was installed a year ago, but to date there are at least weekly false alarms, needlessly shutting off house water. Sensors are either faulty or too sensitive. Techs have returned time and again with limited success.Would not buy it again.

United States | 25 November 2015I really like our FloLogic system. We built a new home and I laid out the funds to purchase this system. I encountered resistance from the builder and plumber as the plumber especially did a lot of "foot dragging". Received excellent assistance from the FloLogic people to help me overcome the "obstacles" presented by the plumber. I should have purchased a little sooner, so unit was placed a little downstream from location of control valve into home. But builder & plumber were of no assistance in helping me determine the exact timing of construction and I am a novice. But very happy with unit.

United States | 17 November 2015Absolutely fabulous product with world class technical support.

United States | 04 November 2015This is a "must have" for a property owner. There are some technical issues and you need to make sure your plumber, your alarm company, and your builder are aware and understand as it affects any water flow downstream the product.

Unhappy customer
United States | 30 October 2015Flo logic is too black and white. It does not take into account any devices that may need to be on (like humidifiers) to maintain the household. It only knows if water is on or off and the timing. Not good when you have a house with multiple components. There needs to be a more intelligent version of this device. The only reason I have it is my insurance company forced it down my throat. I would never recommend this system unless they make extensive improvements to it.

Canada | 30 October 2015It is mandatory for us to have the Flo Logic in Cayman, having had a $7000 bill for a broken pipe. I plan to stay in Cayman 10 days a month from Dec to Mar and the unit is essential to detect problems with our new tenants.

United States | 29 October 2015I am on my second generation Flologic system, the first one lasted several years but a design flaw (I suspect) allowed the internal valves to corrode and malfunction. I worked with the Flologic factory guys and upgraded to the new design last year and have had no problems or leaks since. Being in the airline business, I travel a good bit and the Flologic gives me great peace of mind when away from home. It has activated several times when someone left a faucet dripping and averted possible water damage. Having the ability to wire it into my home security system is a huge benefit in that I get a call from their Central Station when it activates and I can arrange for someone to go by and resolve whatever caused it to activate. I feel that the system is under-marketed. Flologic would be better served with an advertising campaign to high asset homes beyond web based ads. They should also work with home insurance companies to get the large ones like State Farm to give a homeowner's discount when they install a Flologic device. They should also identify certain larger plumbing companies in larger cities and high asset communities to carry the Flologic product line and offer it to their clients. I've had two neighbors who had water line breaks that did over $100,000 of damage to their homes plus huge inconvenience while restoration work is underway. A Flologic system would have prevented this. Besides a lightening strike to your home, a burst water line is the next greatest threat - I have a lightening prevention system on my roof and now a Flologic on my water line, life is good!

Bill
United States | 28 October 2015It is a very reliable and easy to use system. It is nice to know that the water will be automatically turned off if a water line breaks. It is also nice to know that I won't get a huge water bill due to a broken water line at the boat dock that goes unnoticed for weeks.

United States | 27 October 2015After having a frozen/burst pipe resulting in 8 months out of house and $100,000 insurance claim, we were unable to leave home without anxiety. We researched flologic online and decided to purchase and install. It works! It has home and away settings for different time of water flow and will turn off water, eliminating another disaster. We can rest easy now-so happy to have Flologic -have recommended to many!
