We used it for our wedding registry and it proved a great way for guests to select what their gift money was going toward while allowing me and my husband the flexibility to purchase those items when they were needed later on for our home remodel.

Deposit a Gift's fees were lower than Go Fund Me, which was helpful for my group, but I did not feel that I got the personalized service that I was promised. My password did not work several times - not user error - to the point where I had to call and speak to a representative to reset the password. That was annoying. There is no way to send a thank you message directly from the website, which would have been helpful. At a certain point, I never heard from any DAG representative again, even after I sent a message. I felt like they just gave up on our campaign. Admittedly, I had no help on my end with it, and I did not have a lot of time to dedicate to it, but it could have been helpful to have something other than auto-generated "suggestion" e-mails, as I was told there would be personalized service.

If an event is cashed out it's really non of your business why

We used this site as a registry for monetary wedding gifts. When we set up our DAG site, we were able to type a description, explaining the money would be used in the purchase of our first home together. Although only one guest used it, it was a great resource. It was also extremely easy to get the money sent to my personal banking account and I saw the money within a day. I would definitely reccommend this site to others who are engaged. I wouldn't have had to run to the bank to deposit a bunch of checks if everyone had used this site!

Everything was fine until I wanted to cash out. I raised money for elderly friends of mine, who are leery of giving their bank account information. I had to increase donations to meet your minimum to have a check disbursed. Everything else was user friendly and a straight-forward process.

I love the functionality of the website. It's a terrific service and the fees seem fair. What I don't like is the inability to opt out of all of the marketing messages. I'm using the service to manage contributions to a surprise gift for my wife, and it's difficult to keep it a surprise when Deposit a Gift messages pop up in my email multiple times per week. I'm paying for the service, I should have the option to turn these messages off.

Cash out money was deposited into my ACH quickly. Fast response from support as well.
