The only thing that holds me back from recommending this service to others in the fee that guests have to pay in order to Deposit a gift. It's a bit high. Other than that, the service was excellent.

For a wedding, I think it is embarrassing to charge the guests who are donating money to your registry a credit card percentage of the amount they donate. The percentage should come out of the fund so the guests aren't aware of the percentage loss nor have their credit card charged even more for the amount they thought they were paying.

If using this for your honeymoon...I suggest that you leave for your honeymoon a full week after your wedding so that the funds clear the DAG 72 hour hold as well as any deposit hold that your bank also has. Great site but I wish we had the funds available to USE while on the honeymoon.

Very easy to create and my shower guests kept telling me what a great idea it was. Also, the website support is great. When I had a question, it took them hardly any time to get back to me and they were very helpful. Very glad I used this site.

Site is very easy to use. I had to cash out earlier because it was a last minute gift to someone retiring. I had to call to get my money and they could have been a little more friendly. Customer service could be a bit better. Overall good experience.

I used Deposit a Gift to collect money from parents on my son's team, in order to purchase thank you gifts for the coaches. I was tired of offering to be the one to purchase the gift, and then having to work so hard to collect money from the other parents. This was fast, convenient, gave people a deadline, and I collected all of the money very quickly. My only complaint was that the percentage that Deposit a Gift takes is high when you are only raising a small amount of money. So you do have to account for that. But, to me it was worth it for the ease of collecting. I would definitely use it again.

I like the idea of trying to raise money to help a good cause its fun. when all else fails try try again. Never give up!

Reasonably priced and easy to use

what i love: personalized attention, campaign review, great customer support, occasional tips, option to cash out at any point and to keep the campaign live as long one wants what could improve: a few features are counter-intuitive, especially for the first-time user, consider adding paypal as payment option, the 'perks' mechanism could be better, fee on the high side.

We had a good experience with Deposit a Gift. Customer service was very responsive and extremely helpful. Over all I liked it but I think it needs some work still. A couple of things I didn't like. Don't like the Deposit a Gift banner across the top of my fundraiser - green color didn't mesh well with the design we chose plus I felt like we paid for the site so we should be featured at the top. Was unable to refund customer through deposit a gift, this was tough because we paid the fee for the gift which we didn't get refunded. This is probably the deal breaker for us. The option to e-mail donors from Deposit a Gift would have also been helpful.

Great support and really were hands on in helping me navigate the system. It was made easy for me as I am not often on the computer so that was important to me. Highly recommend Deposit a Gift . I have done it twice and those two years were the only years I reached my fundraising goals and surpassed them!

Deposit a gift was really easy for me to use. It was my first time registering for anything and I chose to register for my wedding. I am glad I chose depositagift as my first registry because I had success with my registry. The customer service is also great! They are very quick to respond to any and all questions that I had and resolved all problems if I ever had any.

I was able to raise so far almost half of the goal for the expense to cover my sons funeral. It's helped me a great deal and alleviated the stress. In dealing with the loss of a child I needed all the support I could get and Deposit a Gift has been a God send. I am very grateful.
