Deposit a Gift, was a really great way to generate funds for our scholarship drive for my sister's 2 year old as, my sister passed from a 5 year battle with cancer. It was an untimely death which happened unexpectedly, she was taken to soon. We were able to set it up quickly and it worked as promised.

I found the site easy to use and in the end, my site looked professional and of good quality. I would have liked just a little more control in building the site, but I can see why it's done the way it is, because it ensures that everyone will have a quality site, regardless of skill level. But what sold me was the top-notch customer service. They were with me every step of the way, and were prompt in responding to my emails. I especially loved the ease with which I was able to get my money, and the marketing tutorials were very informative.

Happy with the process

I really like the site when it comes to the guest book and posting pictures as well as information. It isn't completely user friendly so thank goodness I worked in IT and know a little about data bases. Also, the fee you charge for processing a payment is outrageously high and incredibly inflated. We lost as well as you a lot of money due to the fee you charged. Many of our guests complained and we were handed cash at the wedding instead of using the site. Out of 132 people only three used your website. That should speak volumes about your fee scheduled.

The History of Diving Museum used DAG (Deposit A Gift) for two campaigns. The process to set up and manage our webpage was very user friendly, plus we greatly appreciated the tutorials and assistance from DAG team. We also had no issues when it was time to cash out.

So far, there has been extremely slow activity on the page....almost niche. I do not feel that we (Bill Traylor Family Foundation) conveyed the right message.... our story telling skills did not imply a sense of urgency or explain explicitly why the donor should donate to our cause. Since BTFF is a novice at this....we do not know what else Deposit a Gift could have done other than provide the vehicle for the message to get out to the media.

Everything was great. Only issue was with login security problem. I was given assurance that everything was secure but there were clearly functionality issues with the site that compromised my account info. The picture limitations are a minor issue. Like the overall service but would hesitate on a big project given the security.

I think the security hold time and the processing time is way to long to hold the donations. The whole reason for signing up for the fundraiser was to help a family in need during the loss of a loved one. It has been 10 days and the family has still not been able to access funds they were needing to apply towards funeral cost. I think the 72 hour security hold should be it and then they should let the beneficiary have immediate access to the donations. 10 days after a donation and the status is still showing pending after the donations were suppose to be cashed out is just crazy. Next time I may consider other fundraising options to help a family in need ,because in a critical time of need 2 weeks to wait on funds is not appropriate in my eyes. Especially if the contributors had just given cash or even sent it by mail it would have been available sooner then using give a gift.

I had a couple of questions and I was concerned when I didn't see a customer service number. But every time I needed help or had a concern someone responded to me through email very quickly with a simple solution. This is the only company that made it easy to get money from friends with no need for pay pal, etc. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to raise money without the hassle.
