I brought a Full Monty briefcase for our son to take to University with him. Henry is not only immensely helpful and professional (I have now had 3 custom bags from him), but produces the most beautiful and sturdy leatherwork for daily use. I sent my satchel back for some sprucing (well battered from daily and backpacking adventures), and he was kind enough not only to restitch it for free, but send it back with another order in time for Christmas. I was recommended to Henry by a colleague who had bought a 'man bag' years and years ago. It was still going strong and looking weathered, matured and wonderful! I'm the proud owner of three of Henry's beautiful bags. My satchel is in use almost every workday for my laptop and it is still as strong as it was when i first bought it 5 or 6 years ago. The leather is thick and beautifully soft and the stitching remains totally in tact. This bag will last for the rest of my life i'm certain. Another bag is a cross the shoulder hand bag that i use almost every day and i've had it even longer than the satchel. And the remaining bag is the same design as the cross-body handbag but customised as a larger version which I use on holidays or when i need to carry more stuff and still be able to zip it closed. I adore all three and i'll never need to buy another bag ever again.

I visited Camden Market seven years ago with my wife and daughter with the sole purpose of checking Henry Tomkins leather shop as I wanted a handmade strong leather satchel. Seven years on and today I am happy to write a review to say despite being used everyday for work the satchel looks like new, any scuffs to the leather easily removed with periodic application of wax. No tears, no rips, no wear and tear. Excellent quality. And now I am in need of a holdall I am looking no further than Henry to make me one. Thank you Henry for focusing on quality and products that give longevity lasting through the test of time.

I bought a small satchel in mid-tan Latigo leather with custom pocket and it is absolutely stunning. I fully expect this bag to last me the rest of my lifetime if I care for it properly. Henry was easy to contact regarding my order and made recommendations based on my needs. I have no hesitation in recommending.

Before Christmas, I treated myself to a tan coloured Knapsack to match my DM tan boots. I ordered the Knapsack in early October 2019 after choosing the leather from the swatch of sample hides Henry sent me. The Knapsack arrived in early October and as soon as I opened the package I was overwhelmed by the supple, soft and silky feel of the leather. The Knapsack fits close to my back and even when walking round The National Gallery recently, I felt no need to remove it and hold it in front of me: my purse and keys were tucked away in the pocket in the lining of the main bag, with that zip tucked right down my spine - very safe. As soon as funds allow, I’ll be sending for another swatch of sample leathers.
