i recommend rift as in my experience had a mess of a tax historywhere i had penalties and fines from hmrc. they went back a good few years and tidied up everything with hmrc. they were always in contact keeping me updated and i was happy when i recieved a good payment and now am up to date with hmrc. very pleasent and efficient. top marks

I have used Rift for many many years the service is second to none and they always get the job done even when it's last minute from myself. The returns are not as good as some others and it's a shame the fee is so expensive.

I found rift refunds to be fantastic with helping me get my claim, they always kept me in the loop with how it was going with my claim and although it took a little longer than usual to go through, they still persisted to get my claim and was successful. Definitely 5 stars.

This is the second time I have used Rift, always helpful and now much easier online with their app. Would recommend to anybody. The 30% is rather steep considering but that is only why I didn’t give full 5 stars.

I initially had a good experience with Rift when I made a refund claim through them for the year 2019-2023. I was shocked by the huge amount they took for their service but apart from that it was all fine. BUT I had an awful experience with Rift yesterday, they left me a voicemail saying I've been fined ÂŁ100 by HMRC due to late return of self assessment. I had NO idea I even had to do a self assessment for last year, after being led to believe they reverted everything back to normal following my previous claim. However, there was no such fine from HMRC (I've just spoken to them) this was all a ploy by rift to push me into doing another claim with them. I felt totally scammed by this attempt to just grab a bit of money from your claims and my trust in them has greatly reduced. Followup: Molly from Rift called me today to follow up this situation, after listening to the recorded conversation between her Rift colleague and myself she stated training would be given to them regarding the fact that I would not have had to pay a fine, as I was not pursuing a claim. I appreciate this being followed up and then getting back to me but the whole thing did damage my faith in them after originally having a positive experience.
