From start to finish, the A1 team were superb. Clear and informative from enquiry stage to booking and we were confident with all the arrangements prior to moving day. As for moving day itself, the guys were brilliant. Loading was skilful and done with care. Everything arrived safely the other end and was quickly unloaded. This was all done with good humour and made our actual move extremely enjoyable and straightforward. We have nothing but high praise for this team, they were absolutely excellent throughout. Great value too!

Where do I start, Jon is genuinely one of the last remaining gentlemen with customer care at the forefront of their business. On the day before our move Jon came round and came to see how we were doing and if we were okay for boxes along with cones for the move the next day as this helped with parking the next day. Naturally on moving day we were apprehensive and we were greeted with experienced staff who were genuinely trust worthy people who I could hand on heart trust with our possessions. Their precision in packing showed experience and fantastic team work and communication. Packing our clothes was a big worry for us but again Jon and his team provided specialist cardboard boxes which worked excellently for our needs and our heavy jackets and copious amount of clothes. The move into the new house, wow they worked extremely hard to get the house correct and worked to the instructions labelled on our boxes and to a strict timeline. Prior to this they also had to wait near on 2 hours for the handover and exchange of keys which demonstrates their passion to this industry as their patience and virtue shone through and through what seemed like an impossible move to me and the wife. I would like to thank Jon and his team for his efforts on the day as no box was too small or too heavy which the A1 Team could not deal with. I have since used this company again and they have been forthcoming and friendly to accommodate my needs and would like to take the time to say how great a team A1 Removal services are. We sought quotes on an online website for our move from North Norfolk to Suffolk. Jon from A1 Removals contacted us straight away. He then visited us at home and provided an extremely reasonable quote the next day. From that point onwards nothing was too much trouble. As promised, Jon called us two days before the move to check everything was going to plan and ask if we needed any extra packing material. On the day of the move A1 Removals arrived exactly on time... with doughnuts! It took 2 lorries and a three-man team, including Jon, two journeys over more than 12 hours. They worked tirelessly to move our home, garage and garden contents. Some of the work was extremely heavy and awkward involving a large fish tank and stand along with living rock and jerry cans full of marine water. Our large workbench with grinder/polisher attached was also moved along with the complete contents of our garden. They dismantled our water feature and rockery, lifted stone, paving, slate and bags of soil, along with all the plants. They just got stuck in. Throughout the day we found the team to be so caring, reassuring and supportive of us and our belongings. In the week following the move Jon called us to ask how we were getting on. The company we work for paid for our move and Jon had to wait an extra 3 weeks for the payment to go through. He showed nothing but patience and understanding throughout this time. In addition, during the move one of our large display shelves got damaged and he immediately made a full payment to us so we could replace it. Throughout the whole experience we found Jon and his team to be courteous and professional. They treated us as such valued customers and provided us with an all-round-first-class service. We highly recommend A1 Removals.

Very disappointed. After accepting the job and them suggesting a time for a pick up for me as a customer, they didn't turn up. No call, nothing. After me chasing them they gave pitiful excuse and offered to do job 3 days later. Would not take chance with this service again.

Jon and his team 6 in all moved us from a large 5bedroomed house that we had been in for 35years to a small 3bed chalet bungalow The house we moved from had an inaccessible driveway which meant a long walk to the lorry The attention to detail in the quote listed all the items that were to be taken apart and reassembled and was reasonable They arrived on time and worked tirelessly until the job was finished rebuilding everything as promised Based on my own experience I would recommend them but hope I don’t have to move again for a while It’s exhausting but

Excellent value for money, these guys are so helpful and nothing is to much trouble for them. They really look after your items and take care of them. And they were early and just got on with the job. Will definitely be using them again.

Jon and his team moved us from Norfolk to near Inverness. Two 7.5t lorries plus our own two were loaded. This was not a small job! Leading up to the day of removal Jon was easily contactable, well prepared and attentive. We were provided with boxes and protective sleeves for mirrors etc. On arrival there was a significant delay (about 4 hours) with receiving the keys, and although they had a busy day the next day all remained calm. Once keys received all was unloaded efficiently and quickly. A1 were very competitive and a joy to work with. Highly recommended.

Arrived at the time arranged, packed my belongings and moved stuff to storage very quickly. The staff were friendly and trustworthy. Good price for a good service.

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID Update: A1 removals keep attempting to remove this honest review, how many more have they succeed in removing? In response to the reply to this review: when A1 removals cancelled with a very small amount of notice, they informed me that they had permanently ceased trading, this was untrue as I could see from Facebook that they didn't cease trading at all. They were also very reluctant to give deposit back, in fact they only reimbursed me when I told them that I would come and collect my deposit personally. As A1 removals Ltd have tried to remove this review (along with all other negative reviews) I would like to clarify that this review is about a service experience, not a purchase with A1 removals. They never actually moved us. We had a contract for them to move us (with a deposit) and they cancelled and breached the contract less than a month before they were due to move us. Avoid this company. I accepted a quote, signed a contract and paid a deposit to A1 removals. They cancelled a month later and lied saying they were closing. This meant I had to delay my move. I luckily have an overlap with 2 properties, but other people might not be so lucky and could end up stuck. I only got my deposit back after repeated emails and telephone calls.

Very effective and efficient team given the short notice to pack and deliver. Additional help was one of the team members sat in my car and assisted in navigating while the delivery van made its way to the same destination and both of us arrived at the same time. Highly recommended.

The removal was not complete! I'd booked a move from Norwich to Nottingham, they not only arrived 3 hours later, but they never finished the job!! We had booked for our furniture to be assembled and disassembled, and this never happened! Due to the late arrival at the end they had to leave in order to not incur extra charges on the Van rental or they'd be charging us the amount, so we were reassured they'd show up the next day to finish the job and this never happened. I have called and emailed numerous times and have been ignored. This is absolutely disgusting customer service! I genuinely hope no one else has to face this, as if moving isn't enough of a stress! I will clarify that we happen to hold the conversation initially held between ourselves and A1 (we do this for work purposes and luckily the call was made on that phone) going through exactly what would be required in the move! So the fact they are trying to say we miss informed them beyond me! Not to mention if they had thought that we misinformed them - why lie that they would return the next day? Why not come clean and explain the situation? Or even answer our calls after it had all happened? The fact as a company your trying to even reply - is ridiculous! Your employees were not at the property until 2 am!! They left just before 10pm!! If they only needed an extra 1 hour and a half to complete the job! Don't stretch the truth to make your sorry excuse of a company look good! Seen as we're talking about time, did you forget to mention they arrived 3 hours late?! You say you aren't magicians - but stating you will offer the service and not provide it, is basic customer service no magic required. I'd also like to add you tried to get this review closed down as 'False review. Never moved'??? That in itself says everything!! Oh so now you know who we are?
