The Zero Gravity Community was so helpful and I got a lot of support from it.

My mentor not only reviewed my personal statement but also helped me do mock papers for my entrance exam. They were always ready to answer any questions about university life, further reading and academic decisions. Additionally, my mentor provided interview advice which prepared me for the most nerve-racking part of the application process. In conclusion, Zero Gravity has helped me define my ambitions and helped bring me closer to them. I would've liked for Zero Gravity to organise more in person activities like insight days and lab experiences but understand this can be difficult.

Zero gravity has been a huge help in preparing me for university through its many masterclasses and through my personally assigned mentor.

I’ve loved being a part of the zero gravity community. I signed up in the summer of 2022 when I was writing my personal statement. No one in my family has been to university so I felt nervous and very uninformed about applying, particularly to top universities like Cambridge, Imperial College London and UCL. Having my mentor Elizabeth was so comforting, I was able to ask her anything and she was always ready to help me, whether it was questions to do with my personal statement and interview preparation, Alevel guidance or just general life advice. Furthermore, the masterclasses regarding UCAS applications (particularly the one with Kam Taj) and Elizabeth and I’s weekly meetings had a great impact on my UCAS experience and on me as a person. When I told Elizabeth I had gotten interviews from both Cambridge and Imperial, even though I’m sure she had lots of other things to do, she set up calls with me everyday in the lead up to these interviews; we did mock interviews and general preparation. Now I’m off to Imperial or UCL to study civil engineering this autumn! Elizabeth has been so supportive and that’s really made this zero gravity experience one of a kind. I’m so grateful. Thank you all.

I would never have been able to complete my personal statement and apply to cambridge without zero gravity. My mentor helped me craft my personal statement and study for the ENGAA and my interview even though I didn't get in I wouldn't have to where I did without her and I wouldn't have got offers from all 4 other unis.

Zero Gravity helped me a lot by assigning me a mentor. My mentor helped me with my personal statement (before I had no idea where to start) and I got the chance to ask any questions on uni life and advice from my mentor! There is also a community area where you can interact with others and see their questions on uni and A-Levels. Events often occur as well, for instance speakers for careers' advisers and competitions. I would recommend Zero Gravity to students :)

Great effort put in

I’ve had an amazing experience with Zero Gravity and have really enjoyed working one to one with my mentor to build a strong university application. My mentor guided me through each step and helped me practice admissions tests and mock interviews to best prepare me for the real thing. With the help of my mentor and Zero Gravity, I have been able to receive an offer from Oxford university which is something I have dreamed of for so long but knew nothing about until I signed up for Zero Gravity. I have really enjoyed the whole experience and I am so grateful to my mentor for all her help.

Zero Gravity is an incredible organisation. My mentor was fully committed, spending hours of her time checking my personal statement, helping me with the LNAT by marking essays and explaining key concepts, and she gave me mock Oxford interviews. I wouldn’t have gotten into Oxford without her! I also got to spend a day at the ZG headquarters to talk about the strategy for next year’s student champions. It was clear how genuinely committed and passionate everyone who works there is about social mobility. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and appreciated being able to share my views and have them heard and fully considered! Zero Gravity is insanely talented a providing support with university applications, building communities and hosting sessions of academic help. I definitely would not have gotten 4 offers without them and my mentor. Their sessions from people like TheAspiringMedic, Miss Estruch and others combined with 1-1 mentoring from an Oxford medical student made me feel so much more confident in interviews and during exams. I’d highly recommend this to everyone :)

I genuinely attribute a good portion of my successful admittance to Oxford University to my sessions with James via Zero Gravity - while the content of my Personal Statement was undoubtedly my own, my mentor James’ input gave it the polish and vocabulary to push my PS to a level that not only secured me an interview at arguably the world’s top university, but also 4 other offers from Russell Group and/or other world leading Universities. After Submission, the Oxford Interview practice I got on a weekly basis from an actual Oxford student was more useful than I can convey, and must have paid off because I left my online interviews confident; and am now happy to say that I am an Oxford Offer Holder! Really insightful information

I am an aspiring mechanical engineer interested in how external factors can shape a material's behaviour in a structure. In addition to that, I enjoy solving difficult problems and writing poetry in my spare time. Zero Gravity is a phenomenal platform that has allowed me to learn more about the application process and how to maximise my chances of getting into a phenomenal university. My mentor has been instrumental in the success that I have had in my application process by preparing me for entrance exams and interviews; challenging me with difficult topics relating to my interests and teaching me new things about engineering.

This programme was such an incredible opportunity. My mentor was brilliant and encouraging. The help he gave me was practical and personal in a way my school couldn't give me. My confidence in my application grew and I was accepted into my dream uni. Couldn't have had a better experience.
