My mentor has been wonderful throughout the year! My mentoring calls with her have felt like 'big sister catch ups' which is useful as the eldest within my family , and the first to hopefully go to university. She has encouraged me that i have the capacity and willpower to reach the grades i need for my offer!

Though my time with Zero Gravity really took flight a little over a year ago the things the programme and my mentor have done for me will never be forgotten. Initially I had dreams of getting to Oxford. And I did. However it wasn’t meant to be and Zero Gravity helped me to realise that it was okay. Dreams change. They often get moulded according to the unexpected and Zero Gravity showed me that there are just as great as opportunities out there. Though I may not be making history for my school in the same way by being the first to attend Oxbridge and introducing the programme to my sixth form, I am still the first to be offered a place to a high calibre Scottish University. This wouldn’t have been possible if I didn’t get the jumpstart and tailored Oxford support from my dedicated and passionate mentor.

Zero Gravity changed my life about a year ago when I started doing weekly calls with my mentor Tia. She helped me a lot with my personal statement as well as any queries I had about University. I genuinely think this is the best platform for upcoming university students and would recommend to everyone in sixth form. It allowed me to feel confident in the process for applying to University as well as now all my worries have been eased. Thank you so much!!!

I'm someone who's very passionate about physics. I've been deeply interested in this subject even before I came into this country. Hence why I decided to pursue it at university. My experience with Zero Gravity has been overwhelmingly positive. There's a lot of help provided and the UI/UX is very good. Most importantly, the mentorship programme is incredible. My mentor, Will, has been amazing. He helped me thoroughly understand the PAT questions I got wrong and helped me work through really hard questions. Additionally, the calls were structured like an interview so when it came time to do my interview I already a few months of experience. I'm really grateful for the time he's put in and I attribute a large part of my offer to him and Zero Gravity.

I am a first-generation daughter, raised by a widowed mother. Zero Gravity has been truly life-changing for me as it has opened my eyes to possibilities I didn't think were possible, such as getting into a top 10 university in the world. It has pushed me beyond my comfort zone by giving me the confidence to take risks, like applying to Oxford even though the chances were slim. It has also opened my mind to new opportunities and paths towards my desired career in Law. Initially, I believed that the only way to become a lawyer was to pursue a law degree. However, my mentor, Tamara D, altered my perspective by teaching me that there are multiple routes to becoming a lawyer, such as a law conversion. This would allow me to study law alongside philosophy, which I am very passionate about. My mentor has been incredible. She has guided me through university applications and supported me during entry exams, such as scheduling multiple meetings to go over the Oxford philosophy tests. Thanks to her, I have gained academic confidence and lifelong skills. She has taught me not to doubt my own thoughts and knowledge. I am immensely grateful to have been paired with her through Zero Gravity.

My mentor has been instrumental in boosting my confidence for interviews. Through her guidance, I felt increasingly comfortable and well-prepared for every stage of the process. She offered invaluable feedback on my personal statement and conducted numerous mock interviews, each time providing constructive criticism that helped me refine my responses and presentation. Her encouragement and belief in my abilities made a significant impact on my self-esteem. Additionally, she shared her personal experiences and insights, which gave me a better understanding of what to expect and how to handle challenging questions. Her approachable and supportive nature created a safe space for me to express my concerns and work on my weaknesses.

Growing up in a deprived area with immigrant parents who suffered both financial and language barriers, working hard and studying to secure excellence was crucial despite my disadvantages. As a result, Zero Gravity has been not only an incredibly useful tool, but a warm friend to guide and aid me through my tough but rewarding journey throughout Sixth Form. From a firstly awkward introduction by myself to fully focussed sessions my mentor has been essential in painting the pathways i needed to help write my personal statement, choose my extracurriculars, choosing my university and most importantly being someone I could speak to in times of distress and much needed guidance. Without my mentor and the kind hearted guidance of Zero Gravity members answering questions and displaying masterclasses, I would probably be in a struggling position whereby I may not have the relatable people to talk with, and whereby I may not have the reliable resources to lean upon. Thank you so much Zero Gravity for everything you've been an immense help and a best friend in difficult times.

I am an enthusiastic learner who loves learning and interacting with people, especially in zero gravity. Zero gravity has helped me with many problems I have faced throughout my A levels via masterclasses and interacting with other students. I have also been able to provide advice and help on zero gravity forums myself. My mentor was a great help when I was writing my personal statement as I was very lost then. It is only because of them that I was able to submit my personal statement on time and gave me the courage to attend personal statement and other masterclasses which are extremely helpful.

I got a lot of support form my mentor, academically, vocationally and emotionally. I am so grateful for all his help with my LNAT, personal statement and interview preparation for my Cambridge interview.

I am an adventurous person passionate about netball and sciences. I enjoy learning how the intricate details of life all come together in allowing the world to function, hence I'm studying Natural Sciences at university as it combines many branches of science to give a holistic explanation of the world. Zero gravity has been an amazing platform for me, the community is filled with helpful students who give very thoughtful advice on any questions I have. The masterclasses have been helpful in navigating year 13 and UCAS as I learned the advice from experts. My mentor, Maddy, has been an absolute joy to be with, I've received so much help on my interviews from her and she always researches and prepares materials before meetings so we can have a smooth session. I've learned a lot about university life and on money and budgeting from her experiences too.

However, I missed my offer for dentistry but I knew it was the career I wanted so I reapplied. I like dentistry for a number of reasons, including the psychological aspect of contributing positively to a patient’s development. I'm very grateful to Josh for mentoring me during this period and giving me advice on how I can develop my interests in dentistry further such as procuring hospital work experience in specialties I like and how to get into research by networking. Josh has given me countless interview practice sessions as well as helped me to draft my personal statement. I love hearing him talk about dentistry and telling me facts and concepts that he's currently learning in his latter years of dental school as I find learning new things exciting.

When I started with Zero Gravity, I was dead-set on doing engineering at Oxford. For me, there was no other option. My parents wanted me to do something that would definitely lead into a safe career and I enjoyed physics so engineering it was. But my mentor, Isaac, made me realise that I was just doing what my parents wanted, not what I wanted and after a lot of thinking, I settled on history and English, still at Oxford though. I was still so certain that Oxford was it for me. And then I got in for History. And I saw so many people on Zero Gravity so happy about getting their offer. While I just felt numb. And it made me realise that again I was doing what others expected of me, not what I wanted. And so I rejected them in favour of the university I loved: Durham.

I am currently awaiting confirmation of my offer to study Law. The mentoring provided by Zero Gravity has been invaluable throughout the university application process. I had 9 weekly sessions with my mentor over the summer, continually refining my personal statement, as well as preparing for the LNAT, and even doing practice interviews for university when the time came. I also found communities on the platform to be incredibly useful, allowing me to discover supercurricular activities such the Clifford Chance Access Scheme, through which I gained a deeper understanding of what a legal career entails. The masterclasses offered also proved crucial to my success in mock examinations and university interviews, with the advice given by Kam Taj helping me to approach both with confidence. I have been supported by Zero Gravity every step of the way, and so I recognise the potential of this new opportunity in supporting my development.

If I were to summarise myself in one word, it would be ambitious. I believe disadvantages shouldn’t stop me from realising my goals, like applying to Oxford to study law. I created my personal statement framework by watching various Masterclasses, gaining invaluable insights I otherwise wouldn’t have had access to. My mentor, Sam, helped me refine this over several sessions, resulting in a personal statement strong enough to secure an Oxford interview. He also helped me with the LNAT. With his guidance and additional Masterclasses, my mock scores improved from 19 to a final score of 27. Sam also taught me essay writing skills, which were crucial for both the LNAT and my A-levels. Although I was rejected post-interview, I viewed it as a testament to the impact of Zero Gravity’s support. It showed me that with the right help, I could overcome my background and realise my ambitions.

I struggled through my secondary school years; my Dad was often unwell and I spent long periods living with my Grandma. As well as this my learning difficulties were only identified last year. My parents never had the opportunity to go to university, and before using Zero Gravity I was nervous about higher education, my family and I had little knowledge of the process, and I am terrified of the financial burden. Your platform helped me gain the confidence I needed to apply and without the support of Zero Gravity, I may not have pursued a degree. My mentor made the application process feel far more manageable, she supported me through my application and through the last two years which have been incredibly stressful, which will hopefully reflect in my grades come August.

When me and my mentor began our calls, I had been rejected from the University of Oxford, she helped me through this with her advice on dealing with rejection. She then helped me develop my history coursework to a higher standard as well as improve my exam skills, by giving me revision advice, leading to my improvement in my A-levels.

I am a student aspiring to pursue a career in Law. As the first member of my family to go to university, my transformative experience with Zero Gravity has equipped me with the skills and confidence to apply/receive offers from Russell Group universities. Participating in various masterclasses from applications to professional development enhanced my legal skills, and vital knowledge to master applications. This also shaped my academic abilities and aspirations, through participation in crucial LNAT masterclasses, honed my analytical and argumentative skills. My engagement with the law community has allowed me to access opportunities and experiences, alongside the skills I developed, and my mentor’s guidance helped me secure an internship. My mentor has been incredibly instrumental in my journey, offering invaluable advice and feedback on navigating law, and to succeed. Overall, this developmental experience provided me with a strong foundation to succeed.
