From the time we first contacted Indian Excursions until the time we said goodbye, we were helped every step of the way. There was always someone readily available to assist us with whatever we needed. The chosen accommodations and guides were all first rate. We appreciated having our boarding passes sent the day before. There was nothing that we can think of that they could improve upon. If you have the chance to stay at Oberoi properties, we can highly recommend them in all 6 locations where we stayed. Our driver, Yash, was excellent and despite the crazy traffic, we always felt safe with him at the wheel. This is the second time we’ve asked Madeleine and Shiv to arrange our trip, and once again, they exceeded our expectations! The entire experience was seamless and unforgettable. Luke, our guide for the second time, was as always absolutely fantastic – professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming. He made us feel safe and ensured every moment was memorable. Team: terrific, very committed to making our trip as comfortable as possible; very knowledgeable and flexible with regard to the cultural and natural sights we wanted to experience; very helpful with all the small intricacies of modern life for international travellers - including local SIM cards and shopping. 2. Hotels: excellent; particularly enjoyed the Devigarh and its surroundings. 3. Transportation: the car was comfortable and spacious enough for two adult women - myself and my daughter. A special word of thanks to our calm and reliable driver Kundan Singh for his strong nerves and expertise in moving us through the chaos that is Indian traffic. 4. Guidance for itinerary: Madeleine, your experience was a tremendous help in the planning phase, - and your word of warning with regard to the guest house in the Keoladeo was absolutely accurate - nothing seems to have changed since I was there in 1990 (at which time I remember commenting to my husband that it was very basic indeed). Next time I will follow your advice and stay in the hotel you suggest! 5. Overall impression: This has been a wonderful experience and I am grateful to Indian Excursions for their advice and their expert staff in making it all possible. There was always time enough for us to pursue our interests (sketching, photography), which I (the one who sketches) greatly enjoyed.

Our trip to Incredible India was made possible by the professionalism, attention to detail and care shown by Shiv and Madeleine. They were nothing short of superb. Our driver was a standout. The car was impeccable and fully stocked each day. Our guides were excellent. Nothing was too much for the guides, the drivers and above all, Shiv and Madeleine. We shall be back.

From first contact with ( owner) Madeleine to the completion of the trip , everything went smoothly. We were embarrassed at times by how well we were treated by hotel staff and our guide. Nothing was too much trouble. We felt very safe with our excellent driver who negotiated the chaotic Indian road system ( no rules!). The Oberoi hotels were magnificent, and the food ( curries) excellent. The highlight of the trip was seeing the Taj Mahal. We did a very educational Indian cooking class ( and got to eat the resulting meal). Unfortunately we didn’t get to see a tiger in Ranthambore. - but that is the only negative I can think of.

We had an incredible 12-day trip with Indian Excursions. From the very first moment, Madeleine was patient and accommodating, meticulously rearranging the itinerary to suit our preferences and budget. Maddie and Shiv were great to work with and delivered on everything promised or subsequently requested by us. Our holiday was headache free (except for a luggage issue on a domestic flight which was the carrier’s fault and which Shiv and his local representatives stayed on top of until it was resolved while we went about our touring).

Communication with the tour organizer was good. At times commitments for communication were made but not always followed through timely. The itinerary was thoughtful and complete. However, the main reason for 5 stars was the excellent tour guide and support team. Luke, our driver and the assistant were fantastic. They communicated very well. Adjusted the schedule when necessary. Provided top-notch service to ensure comfort and safety. Luke was kind and knowledgeable. He was constantly working to ensure that everything happened very smoothly. His recommendations for lunch and dinner were wonderful. I would definitely do another tour with Luke again.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience in India thanks to Indian Excursions Co. It was a luxury tour and every detail of our customized itinerary including what, where and who, were as described in the materials they provided. Their execution was flawless, the driver and guides always on time and prepared with tickets and access to every important site. Especial recognition to our driver whose skill in driving, warm personality and care for us throughout the two-week tour was extraordinary. The guides in each city were professional and knowledgeable. In addition, even at the most popular and busiest of sites, we rarely waited for tickets or stood in line. A particular mention also to our safari guide in Ranthambore whose tracking skills resulted in extraordinarily close encounters with tigers. We stayed at Oberoi and Taj hotels all of which were comfortable as well as sumptuous. The staffs were welcoming and accommodating. One of the highlights of the tour was the visit to Bungalow two, a guest house, where we had a private performance of a Bhopa legend enacted by dance. The conversations with the hostess and her sister-in-law at dinner were most enjoyable. Their dinner of Indian specialties was the best we had on the trip. Thanks to Madeleine whose responsiveness, meticulous planning, flawless execution and selection of places to see and what to do made our time in India memorable. We strongly recommend Indian Excursions Co as the agency to use for travel to Rajasthan.

How do you rate a trip that exceeded all of your expectations and provided you with the most memorable trip of your life? Five stars is too low a rating for the travel program developed by Indian Excursions for our visit to India. Not a detail was missed. Our hotels were beautiful. The service provided by Indian Excursions, its guides, hotel management and staff, and all the other service providers was impeccable. We traveled comfortably with our wonderful driver, Sanjay. My only wish is that Indian Excursions could plan all of my trips!

We really had the best holiday of our lives thanks to the organisation and services provided by Maddie and Shiv. All assigned drivers and guides were always punctual, courteous and knowledgable. Best trip of our life! All I can say is, we have been to over 40 countries and all 7 Continents and India was by far the best trip of our life. This was largely due to the planning and execution of Madeleine and Shiv at Indian Excursions. We couldn't of asked for more. Our driver Shelly and our guide Lokendra were incredible and by the end felt like we were leaving family. They were with us every step of the way and made the trip seem like it was on autopilot. We started in Mumbai then to Updaipur, Jaipur, Ranthambore (tiger safari a must), Agra and ended in Delhi. Nothing was too small to ask, and the itinerary went almost too smooth. Recently we had a trip to India through Indian excursions . Maddie was amazing planning stages . I wanted to stay in boutique heritage hotels . She listened to the brief I gave her and came up with a bespoke itinerary for my husband and I . We were met at the airport by Shiv on arrival in Delhi . Unfortunately the Airline we flew with ( we arranged our flights ourselves lost our baggage) . Shiv went above and beyond tracking down our baggage and having it delivery to us the next day . We were provided with a driver Sanjay who safely navigated us through all the wonderful destinations . Sanjay was extremely professional and the vehicle was top notch . At each destination we were greeted by a company representative who explained the next part of our itinerary and helped with a smooth check in. Answering any questions we had . We also had a guide at each destination that showed us the sights . They all were exceptionally knowledgeable about the history and cultural aspect of each locality. What Madeline organised for us was not just a run of the mill cooks cutter tour . It was a delightful taste of luxurious boutique hotels and experiences . That made it a trip of a lifetime . We have travelled extensively and can easily say these guys are really excellent at what they do and I wouldn’t hesitate for one second to recommend this company! Indian Excursions were very helpful from the start. We discussed the trip in some detail and they understood the type of trip we wanted - places to visit, where to stay, how to travel around. A couple of iterations and we had an agreed trip that was managed very efficiently. They were on hand to make adjustments during our holiday and to sort out any issues if we had had any. We were able to relax and enjoy our holiday which was really great.
