United Kingdom | 04 March 2022API's are easy to use and set up but that doesn't make up for the customer service which is absolutely appalling I've been having issues recrediting our account for 2 months. There's no live chats or contact numbers and are forced to wait in some case more than 24 hours for any kind of response to support tickets which basically just reads as we couldn't be bothered to actually read your message or look into this but if you contact your bank they might be able to help. Here's a copy and paste of another response we did earlier and a useless error message telling me the zip code is incorrect despite being in the UK where we don't use zip codes. We are now looking into alternatives as the customer service alone makes this service unreliable which could stop working at any time and be weeks or months before they actually look into any issues to fix it

United Kingdom | 28 December 2021I signed up to this outfit not knowing they would be slowly whittling down the initial money I had to put into the account to get the service. I haven't used it for 2 years. I expect I wouldn't be charged for doing nothing. Then my account went into the red by 27p. I tried to pay this off, but the minimum I could pay off to close this scammy account was £20, nearly 100 times the amount owed. Naturally, they explicitly state they don't refund money after an account is closed. Don't touch these scammers with a barge pole.

United Kingdom | 27 December 2021Shocking customer service! Been trying to get WhatsApp set up on my twilio number for over 2 months now. Have completed all the steps several times now and yet still they send me endless emails asking for the SAME steps to be completed again!!!!! And claim they are waiting for me to complete steps and that’s why it isn’t set up yet, but I’ve done everything. I believe they can’t actually offer the service they claim to. I asked to lodge a complaint, and they wouldn’t give me any contact details of who to escalate the issue to. USELESS!!!

United States | 25 November 2021Twilio's customer service is absolutely abhorrent! For as big of a company as they are, they don't have live people to talk to so you're really at the mercy of some faceless person who decides if they want to reply to you and how long to take to reply. Those people are absolute morons. I am literally wondering if I'm even communicating with actual people. Every time I reply to the rep that takes over the communication (different people), I receive a generic "automated" email that literally asks me to address or answer questions I've already addressed! And there's no way to ask for a supervisor because the other morons are completely worthless. It's absolutely unbelievable how this company is being run.

Poland | 09 November 2021Support response times are horrible. They've disabled my account temporarily because of a breach, but after investigating we found no signs of our account being compromised. We rely on Twilio for signups on our website. Now we've had to shut down signups for 12 hours, waiting kindly for them to reenable our account. We're losing money on sales because of this.

Their support for developers is professional. Twilio APIs and documentation are some of the best in the industry. They have several SDKs and are maintained regularly which makes creating applications and integration with Twilio much easier. Big SHOUT out to the engineering team!

Singapore | 23 October 2021Sorry, for 1 star rating since i couldn't find 'Zero' . The company that doesn't know the meaning of integrity, ethics. DON'T ever enable AUTO-TopUp/Recharge of your credit if you are a small company. You will be made bankrupt by these cheats. They will allow premium SMS by 3rd party and will blame you that you don't keep the token/codes safe. with mins you will loose 1000's of dollars. And they will not accept any of your legitimate explanations and just wast of their hands. The frequency of this happenings suggest that Twilio security is not robust ot some deliberate act unknown persons (Unknown can be anyone , can be hackers or some one have access to the tokens or internal know how).... Not safe to use Twilio if you don't have enough muscle power. Don't know why small and medium players are targeted? They are good at finding easy targets. We had been ripped of by 1000's of dollars and the company is blaming our security, but our security standards are government grade and only very limited have access to the codes and that too with 2FA. 100% there is a leak from Twilio side which they ae passing to others since the other part does not have the muscle/financial power to fight with these morons in court. We use other service providers apart from Twilio and have the token/code in the same private repository/servers and they were not breached as Twilio, which suggests the leak is from Twilio side or Twilio messaging environment does not have adequate safeguards for the customers. There are so many ways to earn decent money, extortion is not the right way to earn money.

United Kingdom | 23 September 2021PLEASE READ: I have used Twilio to send OTP's (One time passwords) messages to an app. Well it turns out this can be misused and fraudsters can simply type in any premium number and well guess what you are charged. VERY IMPORTANT: Even though your account with Twilio should stop when you balance hits £0, this is not the case and any queued SMS will still go through and Twilio will charge you. What ever you do, DO NOT set-up auto billing otherwise you may wake up to £1000's been taken by Twilio if you have been hit. Seriously this is not highlighted when you signup and take it from me simply stay away. Finger crossed this review will stop others falling into the same trap.

United States | 11 September 2021If I could give this company zero stars I would, this company is a scam, once you upgrade or add a payment method, they suspend your account for "suspicious activity", what suspicious activity???? I paid from my bank card you dumb morons, this is utterly dog balls, do not purchase, they will literally email you 100 emails to give them answers about their stupid questions on why you want to or intend to use their product. Also, if you don't answer their emails they threaten to suspend you, as well as their system is very confusing.

Mexico | 08 September 2021Account got suspended right after paying the initial set up, and charged again several odd charges when I asked them to unsuspend it. When email support, their response was "let me transfer you to customer support so you can understand the charges." I think they are running a giant scam operation that serves some customers well, and on the other hand scam many other customers. Just contacted Amex to handle the refunds.
