United Kingdom | 07 March 2025Pros: Report received in timely manner, good customer portal, good communication from the Company Director, the contractor was NICEIC registered, issues were dealt with in a professional manner and a financial compensation solution to the issues experienced was found. Cons: Substandard work was carried by the contractor. No plug sockets or switches were inspected for wiring integrity. The contractor disregarded my open concerns about several issues, did not have a look at any of the 3 electrical underfloor heating control systems despite those being high output, hardwired systems and me having stated issues were present. Complete disregard for obvious issues with bathroom lighting as the contractor did not take 5 minutes to check wiring after I had stated LED bulbs were flickering and burning very frequently. Overall: If you know your property is compliant and just want the piece of paper, I think it may be fine working with this company. However, I would not recommend MultiCerts if you are unsure about the current state of your electrical installation and if you genuinely care about safety. Edit following response: Company Director privately contacted me calling me ‘disingenuous’. I maintain that my review truthfully reflects my experience. The report I received was incomplete and could have put my safety at risk should I have not contracted another company to carry the EICR again. I never expressed complete satisfaction like the Company Director asserts, rather I agreed not to report MultiCerts to Trading Standards as I thought MultiCerts took my complaint seriously. The 50% discount MultiCerts provided does not erase my bad experience and I believe that electrical safety being an important matter, it is only fair future customers know what to expect. The agressive and dishonest nature of the customer service having now been experienced, I am downgrading my review from 2 stars to 1 star. I hope MultiCerts will take on constructive feedback in future rather than intimidate its customers.
