I recently got in touch about finding a property however had some specificities due to work demands and family life. As simple as a house sale can be Right from the start we got a valuation that was close to what we were expecting and the price we got in the end was fair given the condition and how quickly we needed to sell to get in to our new house. Everything was handled at the right pace and we were kept updated at each step to manage our expectations. A special mention to Greg and Ross who were always available at the other end of the phone and promptly replied to emails. Thank you. I would highly recommend Goodmove.

They offer cash purchases, and I already knew that these sorts of outfits offer around 25% below valuation. However, they don't buy London property for cash apparently. However, went along with the valuation and signed an offer & acceptance form, which has a 14 day cooling off period as not made face to face. They send a surveyor, who fails to report that I have a garage, my house hasn't had subsidence like the one they start to try and compare it with in order to re-negotiate the valuation downwards, even though they've already agreed it, and I have planning permission for a loft conversion and extension, as well as the addition of the garage! So no, I refuse to reduce the valuation by 35k, which is already low anyway. A few days later, they've managed to find 3 investors who want to view this Friday apparently, but the cooling off period on the signed agreement finishes on the Thursday, so is it coincidental that they want to do the viewings the day after the cooling off period expires? Then what? argue the price further? It wasn't worth the risk for me, and I've decided I'd rather pocket the extra 150k+ that my property is worth for myself. Just to add, I was never asked for any ID, the property could belong to anyone and not necessarily me, because they hadn't asked for any forms of ID such as passport, bank statement, utility bill etc, which an estate agent would do of course under the MAR regs. Shame, I was interested to try this out, and had it been a cash purchase as advertised, to enable a quick move to something I was interested in, this review could have been very different. I have subsequently been contacted by Ross this morning from the company asking me if I would remove my review and they would offer me free marketing services to sell my house, I declined, he then said he would provide a £350 voucher, I said I don't accept bribes. I have since looked at other peoples reviews and feel heartened to know that this was not a lone experience, but that others have had similar encounters. On reading some peoples experiences, I'm glad I withdrew as I'm almost certain I would have been played further on price now.

I spoke to Gregg who was so helpful and knowledgeable in explaining how the company works unfortunately the price would have been to low but Greggs advice regarding my property was so helpful a credit to your company thank you Gregg
