Having looked around most of the outlets locally, I concluded that the more commercial brands offered less in terms of value vs service, compared to other shops the Bed Specialists are very much higher than most. The more personalised, focused attention and the welcome from all the staff made a difference to me. I trust the Bed Specialists, hence the review.

I purchased a new (Dunlopillo Super Comfort Latex Pillow) which I thought was the same as my original Dunlopillo, it’s not. The quality is not the same, despite whoever is making them now, claim they are. If you haven’t purchased one before you won’t know the difference. Dunlopillo do not make the original ones anymore and the new versions using the Dunlopillo name are of poorer quality. My original Dunlopillo latex pillow, after 5 years of use, has more density alone than this brand new one. I contacted The Bed Specialist within the hour of delivery, and voiced my opinion but they said I couldn’t return it if it wasn’t damaged etc, they didn’t want to know. I hadn’t even taken it out of it’s wrapper, as I could tell from touching it through the plastic bag it wasn’t the same quality. We are always encouraged to support a family run business, but it’s like getting blood out of a stone when it comes to getting a refund. Give me the big retailers any day. If you do your research you will read other people stating that the new so called Dunlopillo pillows are not the same as the old ones, that’s because Dunlopillo have been taken over. Regarding (The Bed Specialist) it’s the first time dealing with them and it’ll be my last.
