Money Jar did not even alert me to this issue I was issued an overdue rent notice and that is how I found out my money had not gone through even though it had left my account…

Ireland | 26 April 2024Worst experiences ever. They are not trustworthy. They have refused a transaction from my employer and returned and the money but now it's been more than a month my employer haven't received any. Since a month they are giving everyday a new excuses. Better avoid this

Ireland | 26 April 2024The worst bank ever. the company where I work transferred my salary last week, as usual and six days have passed and the money has not appeared in my account, it has not returned to the company and the bank says it will investigate but does not give a response. I need to pay my bills, my rent, buy food and I simply can't afford it because this damn bank disappeared with my money. I want answers urgently.

I have lodged a formal complaint to financial services ombudsman and advise everyone to do the same. Hopefully they release our payments soon. Shame as I used to love the app.

Ireland | 23 April 2024The most untrustful bank I ever had before!!!!! They steal two salaries that are missing from my account. After TWELVE DAYS, A LOT OF MESSAGES AND 25 E-MAILS, they just have given me different excuses, none proofs they are trying to help me, none deadline and none solution at this moment. This situation crossed all the limits and I am having severe financial issues because of this dishonest institution. I already talked to Money Jar and also EML Payments and either they are incompetent and provide awful customer service. I feel complete exhausted and scammed from Money Jar. Probably in the Court they can't tell more lies or harm me and other customers.

My wife made a transfer to me from another money jar account, a large amount that I needed urgently, more than 40 days and the money still hasn't arrived, despite the numerous complaints I've made, money jar is not a reliable bank!!! I'm making a loss because I haven't received the money.

Ireland | 08 April 2024the worst bank there is! Never open an account with it. I made a transfer 10 days ago and it still hasn't entered the recipient's account. There were several other unjustifiable delays. Always the same person who responds and gives the same excuse that the system is experiencing instability. I had a lot of problems and continue to have them. I just didn't close the account because I'm waiting for this situation to be resolved.

There has been a ‘bug’ on their system and I haven’t been paid on time and have to wait till the next week to receive my salary. I have to pay my finances weekly and have had to sort other resources to pay this. I cannot get through on the phone and only speak to bots online. I’m escalating this to financial services as it seems moneyjar are stopping payments coming through and you are expected to wait to be paid.

Ireland | 19 March 2024They do sub charges for transactions that no longer exist. An example, I have cancelled my Netflix subscription and yet they charge me for “Netflix transaction” even two months later. The amount is silly of 0.03€, but it is still a scam. Many other occasions money doesn’t add up and it still comes to the charges of what they decided that can be repeated if though the transaction did happen. They also do not include those charges in your regular statement along with their monthly fee but in a separate folder, where it doesn’t show in your transaction nor monthly statement.

Ireland | 04 March 2024I already did one review but I felt obligated to do a second one. My account was blocked two months ago, I sent countless emails asking for a reason but got no response. I spent weeks trying to send a proof of address because they simply were not accepting my bank statement, saying that the addresses did not match, although the only difference between the two addresses was that the EirCode was not displayed in one of them. I had to write an email with a link from EirCode Finder attached explaining with details how they could verify if the addresses matched because instead of doing some work all they did was compare two images. After weeks my documents were accepted but it didn't mean I could have my money back. And even though my account has been blocked for the past two months, they still deducted the monthly fee from me two times!! I can't use my money for an unknown reason, but they can. I hope people can understand how serious this is. I'm paying for a service that I'm not using, I feel like I'm being robbed and can't do anything about it. Members of my family are also being affected, we're going crazy with this nonsense. My mother had to borrow money to pay rent and buy food, she almost got kicked out for this and living in Dublin with this accommodation crisis it would be a complicated situation. All they do is say that they are terribly sorry for the inconvenience, not action taken. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. I really hope that someone goes to jail because of this for some good years. If MoneyJar is charging me for a service I should at least be able to use it. I hate this bank and all it's staff with all my heart, you people put my family in a complicated situation and I'll never forgive you. Bunch of THIEVES.

Purchases with my debit card appear in Greece. I have never been to Greece a company refunded me money and moneyjar says that the transfer has not reached my account WHAT HAPPENED WITH THIS BANK????????????? I demand a refund of my money, it is easy for me to earn the money

Ireland | 15 February 2024I was a customer for 2 years and in the beginning the service was working as expected. However, over the last 6-9 months things have gotten progressively worse. Account limits silently changed, resulting in payments into the account failing without ever letting customers know. The app became slower and slower, at times not working at all. Even trying to get statements stopped working to the point where I'd need to contact customer support only to receive an answer 3 days later. At the same time, transfers to non-MoneyJar accounts that were once almost instant, would start taking days to go through. The worst came when my card was going to expire and MoneyJar ensured they'd send a new card in time. However, two weeks out I got in touch to say the card hadn't arrived yet, only to have customer service say to be patient it will arrive. It never did, and to top it off my account was locked for outgoing transfers as well. It had been locked for 14 days before customer service allowed me to access my money again.. and yet still no card. They stated they "couldn't provide tracking details" or provide details as to why my account was not able to make outgoing transfers. In those 14 days I had 0 access to any money, all my payments failed and I couldn't pay rent. Customer service representatives repeated the same "we're looking into the matter, sorry for the inconvenience" as if they were AI bots. Absolutely despicable behaviour. As soon as my account was unlocked I moved all my money to a new bank and closed my MoneyJar. Worst and most stressful experience I've had. Wouldn't recommend it for anyone - avoid at all costs. EDIT: Since posting this review and MoneyJar's comment below, they have been in touch with me to ask what they could do to have me change my review. No compensation was offered unless I supply concrete proof of hardship. They still want me to change or remove my review though... Avoid at all costs!

I'm going through humiliation without being able to pay rent and make a market because they don't solve this and don't even answer me!
