Alcosense Pro is so much easier to use than Elite. Only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is I haven’t had the chance to compare results with another meter yet.

Unit is well made & easy to use. Calibration system seemed a bit complicated at first, but made sense when following the steps. However, lI feel that the cost of the calibration service, when you include postage and insurance, is a bit expensive.

Annual service was very quick and easy to do on AlcoSense website. Overal good value for money and more important that machine is as good as new with complete of mind. For me the value is I can check that I am always safe / fit to drive the morning after. Great service and value

I am now using my second Alcosense breathalyser having upgraded to the Excel a couple of years ago. The upgrade was worthwhile - the Excel is quick and easy to use and appears to give good results (though I have no way of checking this). I use it regularly before driving if I have had an alcoholic drink the previous evening, regardless of the amount. Functionally, I am delighted and would recommend this product. Be aware, however, that there is an ongoing cost of ownership. Since I cannot check, myself, that the device is operating satisfactorily I have it recalibrated, by Alcosense, every year as recommended. The cost of this, plus the cost of postage (insured Royal Mail service) is significant. In fact, if I used it without calibration, assuming it to be OK, I could buy a brand new one every 3 years or so and still be at a profit. In summary, a product I certainly recommend this but be aware, before purchase, of the ongoing costs.

I have used the alcosense Pro for two years now. I'm a professional driver and the company's policy is a maximum 0.06 mg/l in random breath tests.If I've had a drink the night before I always test myself an hour before starting work. Thankfully I've always blown zero but it's nice to have the reassurance of alcosense pro.

i HAD TO HAVE A DETECTOR RE-CALIBRATED BUT THE METHOD OF PAYMENT WAS VIA ANOTHER COMPANY ACCOUNT. THIS WAS DEALT WITH VERY QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY AND I WILL NOT HESITATE TO USE ALCOSENSE AGAIN. VERY PROMPT REPAIR AND EXTEMELY HELPFULL STAFF. WELL DONE!
