Router was not put where asked to be put signal is terrible at the back of the house

Very happy with my recent install, engineer came and completed the garden dig without any complications. Broadband was working within 1 hour and is much faster then my previous provider. Multiple devices connected and no lag. Customer service has also been brilliant, rang me to notify me of a possible outage (never happened) but thought that was really good as these bigger broadband companies don’t bother. Changed my billing date to a preferred date with no hassle whatsoever. Really happy customer and would recommend.

Download speed not as promised. 30Mb/ sec. Was promised 100 - 150 Mb/sec. Not good enough.

Quick and easy install once city fibre had installed the main network. Installation on the day was fast and tidy, instantly connected with the supplied hub without issue. Whilst the speed isn't at what I paid for yet it's still very high and the network has only just gone live in our area. Very happy with the service.

Once CityFibre made the connection, which was slightly delayed by the number of appointments the crew had, the service worked straight away as they hooked up the router as well as the fibre cable. That evening Gigabit called to check it was all working. I've spoken to technical support a few times (vast majority of calls answered within 2 mins) about using my own router for a mesh network and staff were very helpful talking my through the very simple process and staying on the phone until it worked. So far staff have been fantastic, and the internet itself is as quick as promised. Would definitely recommend!

They didn’t finish the installation because they ran out of concrete and so we currently have an exposed cable on our driveway. The staff were great guys super respectful and can’t fault them apart from finishing the job.

Installation went well, the rest is garbage. Not getting 10% of the broadband I'm paying for. The Online Portal is useless, tried to report the issues online and although it accepted the reports, they've simply dissappeared. Called them and told - it'll get better - seriously! Gigabit are just throttling the bandwidth. We'll see, but right now I'm probably going to cancel

Absolute useless customer service! First outage was not their issue but a car accident had taken down a telephone pole where my line daisy chained to another. BT had a new pole up the next day and connected all their stuff. Gigabit had no clue that their line was down and I think their portal area status is fake as that showed, all was fine. Took them over a week to resolve, raised multiple tickets letting them no, no answer, had to get CityFibre to say something to them before they'd do anything to fix the line. Speeds are no where near what promised, best I get is 450mb hard wired. Router is awful, non configurable. Now, since maintenance on 9th Nov, I am again without Internet and Gigabit Customer Service is no where to be seen. So overall, in days I've been with Gigabit (about 40days), I've been without Internet for 8-9days, a nice 20% downtime. Do yourself a favour and AVOID service with them until they resolve all their issues.

The Fritz box I don’t think can handle much as I am sure I am not getting 900 as I get buffering which can be annoying - hopefully gigabit will improve - I will call to ascertain if they have a better router

Very very bad service. I've phoned up number of times due to my speed being 200 Mbps and they should be close to 900mbps. In waiting until the maintenance is done on the 9th of Nov. And if my service are not up to scratch I will be taking the to trading standers and to the ombudsman as the service is the worst that I've had.

One of the worst experiences ever, i moved to a new home and i have arranged with one week prior to moving to have my BB install after 3 days of moving in. Obviously, nobody came. I called them and they said there was a “blockage” and that i had to ask for permission from my neighbours to install the fibre. I got the permission and then they re booked me to wait 2 weeks, i waited and obviously no one came so i had to wait 2 more weeks. After one month of going back and forth with calls and e-mails they have finally came to install my BB. The router provided by them is not designed for full fibre connection, it cannot handle the speed. I did multiple tests WIFI and Ethernet and i cannot seem to get more than 400mbps. Now? I cannot even seem to connect to Playstation Network. If i were you, i’d stay well away from them. Their customer support is inexistent, never called me for reassurance or updates.

I've installed the connection about 2 months and since then running at about 50% speed max ( 408 mbit/s at the time of writing this review ) or less, speed was promised 900mbpsmy !! Customer service via email is useless, they never respond so just call them otherwise you will be waiting forever with no response ( my most recent ticket no 21510 - no response yet ). Like most broadband provider they are poor in delivering speed and service (that's about everything you need right) so I just keep it quite and wait for the exit date so I can switch to the next company and face disappointment

I need to do more tests admittedly but I’m certain I’m not getting close to 900 down/up. The biggest problem is the fritzbox router, it’s garbage, wifi is really bad. This needs sorting to complete what could potentially be a very good service, gigabit replace these boxes for something decent please.

Absolutely ridiculous company, have ordered 900, barely getting an not stabile speed 400 (stabile 95 in/out) Since the service started we have to restart the router which keeps constatntly cutting of the internet. Customer service is threating us with the fines as we demanded to cancel a contract due their incopetency. I would not recommend this company at all. Please runaway from this company!!!
