I studied a RYA Dayskipper Theory through Navathome over a period of the last couple of years. I extended the course a few times to give myself time to complete it. This was an easy process. I found the content of the course clear and easy to use. I passed the course! Every time I interacted with navathome and their agent I was impressed with the efficiency, whether it was course extensions submitting test answers or receiving the certificate at the end of the course.

The online course I did was Day Skipper and it was extremely thorough and well presented. The sample questions were very helpful to hit home the theory and to prepare for the exam - I was actually surprised how good it was!

I WISH I HAD DONE A TRIAL OF THIS AWFUL NAVATHOME COURSE FIRST. Where are the good reviews coming from for navathome??? The way navathome present the course is mind-numbing. It is dated, unimaginative and robotic. Unfortunately, my husband bought me the Navathome course as a present without looking at the other course providers available that are far superior to navathome. The course has errors and is not accurate. Some materials provided such as the dividers and plotter are not the same quality as other course providers. The content of the Navathome presentations has a very old style. Envisage an old dinosaur writing it 30 years ago ... it is full of old cobwebs. The navathome presentation is so dated you feel like you are in a time warp. I have asked for a refund and they are refusing. Dying of boredom with the course I looked up other providers and found ARDENT TRAINING (their course looks AMAZING!) and have been doing their free 24-hour trial. What a difference! ARDENT TRAINING is fun and engaging and you get plenty of input and actually feel like you are getting one-to-one tuition. I could easily sit and do the course (RYA Coastal Yachtmaster Offshore theory course including Day Skipper revision) through Ardent Training because they have a fresh and vibrant presentation style. We made a very expensive mistake buying the AWFUL NAVATHOME course and they are unwilling to offer even a partial refund. At least I have saved 3 of our sailing party from wasting their money and they won't be touching navathome with a barge pole. I will now pay for Day Skipper through Ardent Training and complete the Coastal section in January 2023 when they release it. Thankfully they will only charge the difference between the day skipper and Fast Track course. Take my advice and do the free trial of someone like Ardent Training first and make your own mind up. ****UPDATE****. Though Navathome have not responded here to this review, they are contacting me directly via my private email in relation to this review. As I have told them, in response to one of those emails, I do not want to receive any more passive aggressive responses. Look out for the further update I do in the coming months as I am now going to review and compare a side-by-side comparison of the Navathome Course, with ARDENT TRAINING. My review will be full and, as always, honest.

Great course although the fact it was online made it difficult to fix mistakes or errors without help. Highly recommend
