I started my Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Offshore Theory training with Navathome during lockdown. I had done my Day Skipper theory with them a couple of years before and I had enjoyed the flexibility and the way the course was presented. During the course I had a couple of changes in my life which meant I took longer than I thought to complete but it was very easy to extend the time available for a small extra charge. The course is challenging but the material provided is excellent with lots of examples for practice. Immediate feedback is given when you submit the exercises and if you have a specific query, there is someone at the end of an e-mail to answer it. There are also a number of revision exercises and study aids such as flash cards for lights and collision regs. Now I have successfully completed the course, I have access to a revision site so it will be handy to top up my knowledge before I attend the practical course.

This is the second course I have completed with Navathome. I found them excellent both times. The written materials are of a very good standard and the interim tests are useful. There is a lot to learn in the Yachtmaster course and the final test is not easy but the support from the staff is incredible.

Absolutely fantastic! Extremely thorough online course, easy to follow and surprisingly straightforward to learn from despite being a highly technical field. The course is well-structured and very thorough. Instructors were on hand via email (often getting in touch with feedback on my progress without being prompted). The content was fascinating and I felt I came away with a much better understanding than I did with previous classroom-based learning at YM Offshore level. Being able to complete it in my own time, at home, making thorough notes has been a Godsend and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the system to anyone looking to gain their YMOT in an effective way.

Very quick and clear answers from Navathome all along the Day Skipper! Feedbacks were always positive, even if sometimes they asked for more, which is completely understandable. I never felt alone in the preparation of this exam!!!!

Totally enjoyed my RYA Day Skipper Theory.. Challenging at times but the answers are always in the material. Getting skilled and educated in something you love doing, which opens the door to new adventures.. what more could you want.. we’ll done Navathome, you made it a fun experience.

I did the day skipper theory course as online training with this organisation, and cannot recommend them highly enough. Any help that I needed was given quickly and clearly. As an example; I requested an explanation of a particular chart location for one of the exercises; , a trainer replied to my initial message within 10 minutes and spent the next 30 minutes discussing (via email) the details..

Great site for home learning. I will be booking with them again.

I completed the RYA Day Skipper Theory with NavAtHome. Although the user interface was a little outdated, the course content was excellent quality and offers a high level of depth. I was pleasantly surprised at the responsiveness of the helpful and knowledgeable staff if there was any ever questions. I would certainly recommend it to anyone wishing to complete their Day Skipper Theory online, as the quality is good and it is cheaper than doing it through a centre, it offers greater flexibility of when to study, and even comes with a very useful complimentary marine engine course.

Excellent course with very easy to use online information and testing. Didn't have the need to reach out to instructors, but during final assessment did get immediate and helpful feedback.

The course was a good refresher for me (holding the same license in France/French). Excellent material online, very well explained even for a non-native speaker. Excellent support from the staff, very friendly, fast and efficient.

The Yactmaster course is an excellent course. The material that is sent to you is very good and will find a new home on our boat. The course presentation is very useful and entertaining and I felt well prepared for the assessment.
