United States | 13 February 2025This was a very expensive acquisition for me. The whole process was professional, coordinated and well executed. The package was commensurate with the contents. This is the type of seller associated with a top tier experience. Kudos and thanks! Greg

United States | 11 February 2025following the initial contact, the response time was very good. Only small issue was that an early willingness to provide a 10% discount, didn't flow through the communication process. Once I mentioned that it had been offered, it was subsequently applied to the purchase price.

United States | 11 February 2025I had a free seller account on 1st dibs that has been dormant for 2 years. I discovered this week that they've been charging my credit card for a $99/mo subscription for the past 9 months. When I contacted 1st dibs about it, they claimed that they sent me 1 email 10 months ago stating if I didn't respond to said email in 30 days, that I'd be locked into a year long contract at $99/mo. (I had over 300 1st dibs emails in the past year, mind you!) They claimed I 'read' this email, though I found it in spam. They sent no reminders, no followup, no confirmation that I 'agreed' to anything, they send no statements or monthly invoices. This feels like a deliberate attempt to be sneaky. It would have been far more fair to simply deactivate dormant accounts rather than lock them into year long contracts. They have been using my credit card for 9 months without my consent and they claim I cannot be let out of my contract before 12 months. They claim if I do chargebacks or stop paying, they will not let me out of my contract. This truly feels insane!

Australia | 05 February 2025The seller sent a fake version of the vintage ring listed. This was my wedding ring. It was promised within 20 days of order. The seller didn't send it until 10 days before the wedding, presumably because the ring was being made. The fake is rubbish in comparison to the listing. - thin 'gold' (possible plated -no stamp) in comparison to the chunky solid gold listed ring, overtly glossy (listed ring was lightly brushed matt), badly made, welding visible, different dimensions, different proportion. Arrived late for the wedding, wedding was called off. Partner suffered mental health collapse, wedding rescheduling costs The whole thing I've massive disaster AND no action from 1stDibs Totally USELESS customer service centre that just runs the same script of sorry, we understand how you must be feeling... and yet not reading any of my messages or actually understanding their 'verified seller' is a criminal What I'm mind-blown about is that I believed their buyer protection spiel I actually paid $8000 up front and then received a ring late for my wedding, and now it is expected that I pay for a courier back to the criminal seller before 1stDibs refunds me.... Excuse me??? The thing is I don't even think 1stDibs management have a clue I've only had contact with their useless service centre and their seller Be careful, don't buy from a jeweller in Geneva!
