A piece arrived with a big crack down the middle. It had cost me $3000. I refused to accept this piece from the shipper. 1stDibs did an investigation and told me it was my fault because the original photos had shown a line in the table even though it wasn't an actual crack and nowhere in the description was a crack indicated. Listen to their lies: "I am sorry you are disappointed with your recent purchase" as if buying a fraudulent product was a legitimate purchase. 1Dibs is so sleazy. Their rating on the BetterBusinessBureau is F because so many customers found them terrible. Listen to how smarmy and smug is the reply from the respondent at 1stDibs. Whoever is responding could care less. They have my money and they don't care that they have provided terrible quality. That's why they have an F rating at the BetterBusinessBureau. They are a totally sleazy operation. They provide fraudulent and broken pieces but they don't provide support to rectify the situations. Plus, their objects are terribly overpriced, which I learned from looking on other websites and on auction sites.

I deeply regret how slow 1stdibs customer service has slipped. I hear from both buyers and sellers complaining your poor slow service. You should reflect on your past success and make some changes before it is too late. You are reason so many transactions get delayed. One of my recent purchases and delayed now while they wait on shipping labels.

I enjoy shopping and dealing through 1st Dibs. Every company I have dealt with through this site has been first rate, and I mean that. Trust in this current world is in short supply and headed towards extinction. Nice to find a nitch where it is surviving. I will continue to use 1st Dibs, as I have for a few years now. Ring was even prettier than pictured. Delicate and unique piece, quality materials. Customer service was excellent. Needed to size my finger and seller kindly waited until I could find my tape measure. It is a perfect fit! I love my new ring! I highly recommend this seller!

Received a gem identified as blueish green but there was no blue at all. I reported this and requested a return within the 3-day return window as per their policy. They made me report the problem and upload pics before I could submit the return whuch didn't make sense at the time. Four days later i'm still waiting for a response. I called today and a rude customer service woman told me my return falls under 'buyer protection agreement' rules. I must await the seller'response since i felt something was wrong with the Tourmaline gem (color not as described). I told her I should be able to return it immediately with or without cause since the return request was submitted within 3 days. I said, now it's turning into a lengthy process and it sounds like my return may not be accepted at all. She said that won't happen. I responded that. in that case, provide a return address now and I'll mail it back today. That way I can get my refund. She said 1stDibs has to wait for the seller's response then I have to wait to be contacted. I asked for her supervisor but she refused stating no one is available. This sounds like punishment to me. I can't get my money back until they finish an investigation that they never should have started?! Who knows how long that will take. I can't recommend this company now due to their shady return process and unwillingness to escalte to management.

The ring arrived with a small chip on it. It came late at night so I didn't notice it. I contacted 1st Dibs within 48 hours (as they advertise 3 day return policy). They said because it was worn the return policy was not valid. There was no evidence of wear, no tag on the ring. It was not in condition advertised. First and last time purchasing on 1st Dibs, I do not recommend. 1st Dibs is absolutely incorrect. My message did not say I had worn the ring. I said I said I went to wear it to dinner when we saw the chip on the stone. I sent my return request before dinner and never wore it. I even followed up but they didn’t care. The 3 day warranty simply doesn't. exist.
