Job was easy and went fast

The staff was very helpful, but there is some room for improvement on the close-up photos.

I never really know what I will face with an aerial job with DroneBase. Often when I arrive at the location there are obstacles or unknown things such as wires to deal with. To me this is rewarding to figure a way to get the shots safely and succeed in the mission. DroneBase never expects you to be unsafe and will listen to whatever is needed to be successful.

I'm a pilot, and I had a really rough time getting started. I gave them my information, including part 107 number, and yet I cannot finish my profile due to the payments through Qwil. I cannot make a Qwil account, and it would seem that there is no other option for payment. I really want to like this site and I want to use it to find clients, but I feel as though there is a lack of information on how to set up my profile so that they may review my information.

I appreciate how DroneBase makes clear where the project stands and what next steps are. The client portal was intuitive and easy to navigate. Pilot footage captured all angles we wanted focus on and photo resolution was exceptional. We are more than satisfied with our final assets and would recommend DroneBase to others.

DroneBase were very easy to co-ordinate with and flexible with my project. Issael was very accommodating when it came to some last minute changes and the photos turned out great.

Very easy to work with. Listens to the concerns of uAS operators and is willing to modify missions to make everyone happy. Pay is instant. Mission instructions are clear and they have plenty of communication if any problems or changes arise.

Good company that will pay quickly and has very clear instructions o deliverables. Sometimes they have communication problems when it comes to weather, and existing circumstances around a job. Have had problems getting them to understand when weather is unflyable or a building is simply to big to fit into a frame at 400’. You will need a dji because they don’t let you use custom professional drones.

DroneBase is a great partner. It’s great to see how fast they are expanding. They provide a good training opportunities and allow two- way feedback. I definitely recommend working with them.

Dronebase always handles our flights in a professional manner

I’ve been a pilot since last year ! The DroneBase team and service has improved . My previous review was specific and addressed the lack of frequency on client missions ... since then things have improved and I am getting more missions , in March I had a slew of back to back missions and it kept me busy for a change . Need improvements specifically on Airspace restrictions ! I have seen several missions requiring the standard package of cardinals at 100ft and 350ft all while the Airspace is very restricted close to SNA John wayne airport ... sometimes in direct conflict with final approach . The DroneBase platform OR dispatcher sending the mission details should validate the address (either automatically or looking up AirMap) and available altitude or NFZ before it is sent to the pilot .... otherwise it makes for a very frustrated client . Case in point ... I recently was asked to contact a client directly to coordinate, and client couldn’t understand why low flying helicopters were allowed to fly and land at airport by a particular building he wanted me to photograph and not a Drone . I explained that was exactly why I was not allowed in that airspace . Payouts : in general payouts are very fast and my work product has been approved sometimes in minutes to a few hours . One notable point is that the payout has decreased by ~20% since early last year for stills , videos or combo packages. It would have been nice if payouts remain at last years rates ... but I guess marketing costs or trying to remain competitive has cut into pilots margin. In conclusion, the platform and service is generally good and has provided me with some income and hopefully can continue with improved and specialized services announced recently. One notable exception was the insurance surveys that has not panned out as initially planned.

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with DroneBase and the missions I’ve done.

The process is fairly simple and they have been very good about returning emails when I have questions and paying out after a job is complete. The app on Android has some issues. The buttons regularly freeze up and I have to switch to the webpage when trying to do anything. It can be difficult to see the project outline on the tiny map that expands on the full webpage, but not on the app or mobile webpage.

Dronebase is a great company to fly for! I have my own business and it is nice to fill gaps with missions from DB. They are a first class operation and the pay is fair. That will not be the case for many similar companies. Dronebase gets 5 stars from me.

I have completed multiple projects with DroneBase and have always had a positive experience.

Great company to work with so far, The phone app needs a little work(glitchy) besides that; No problems. I just use the web address instead:)
