Need to provide training of what is expected to new pilots. If pay were to be broken down between travel and flight time, the travel portion is not enough for rural areas. This amount only covers about 50 miles round trip. For such jobs to pay off, they need to be raise those rates or bundle jobs in the vicinity.

Best place for new pilots to earn some quick cash. After uploading your shoot within 24 hours full payment. Although I wish they paid a little more but you have zero headache no editing no finding customers, so it’s really a win win. Good place.

Dronebase is a great way to earn money without a lot of investment in my time. It is good fill-in work. The Dronebase team is great to work with, they respond quickly and are always helpful.

Theres nothing really bad I can say about drone base , Pay is fair for 5-20 minutes of working depending on the assignment , they communicate really well with you , the schedule is pretty flexible you can pick what time is best for you . However the only thing thats a bummer is how often you get mission requests , One week I may get 3-4 missions , another week I might got 1 or 2 and then there are weeks where I dont get ANY missions none , and I end up having too wait a few weeks jus to get one , but other then that I'd say they are a good company to work for !

I was most impressed with the ease of booking a flight and the speed at which the pilot was dispatched. This was my first experience with this type of service and the folks involved didn't make me feel like there were needless things I needed to know more about. They provided concise answers to all my questions and, provided easy to understand information all the way through.

Do not fly for them!!!! They caused my $7k inspire 2 to crash!!!!!!! I can't leave a low enough review for this company, I flew my first flight for them at a rock quarry, it was a 3 hour round trip drive for $120. After downloading the KML file I sent a screen shot to them as instructed and told the agent that I've never used drone deploy before, he let me know everything looked fine so I didn't think twice about it. When I arrived I noticed the rock quarry changes elevation of over 1000ft and tried to call the company several times and got nothing but an answering machine and voice mail so I decided to fly the mission assuming they wouldn't send a flight path that is flat for such an extreme change in terrain, well I started the mission and it flew the drone into the hillside at about 30 mph, I didn't have time to manually override the controls and stop it. I've tried contacting them and can't get anyone on the phone, just emails, the first of which was them asking me if I had a back up drone so I could still fly the mission. So here I am, lost a $7k drone and they could care less, I seriously can't warn you enough to avoid this company at all costs, if you read this please share it with other pilots or friends, I certainly will be warning anyone I can on any platform available. I'm a professional photographer that has been flying drones for over 5 years, not someone who just went a bought a phantom yesterday, I know a lot about these crafts and the flight software, I don't believe there is anything I could have done to avoid this other than not accept the job in the first place. Horrible company and even worse customer service, avoid at all costs!!

The photos, once complete, are of high quality. However, in many instances, the time from submission to completion of the job can take upwards of 3 weeks. This can be extremely frustrating when trying to bring a property to market quickly.

It's a great way to make some extra money with your drone and license. It's also great for beginners in the industry as it gives you an idea of the kind of shots that customers want and are paying for.

Pro’s: App is intuitive and easy to use, details of the job are very clearly laid out so the pilot knows what’s expected of them, payment is processed very quickly. Con: Pay is very low compared to what I charge independently.
