We used Dynamo recently to acquire a loan to consolidate debts. Despite being a fairly lengthy process both Rachael and Courtney, who dealt with our application, were always there to help us and clarify anything we didn't understand. I have no hesitation in recommending Tom at Dynamo. He was very responsive and was happy to point me in the direction of my best option, even though it may not have been the most rewarding for him. Their so-called experienced mortgage advisor misled me by sugar coding me that my mortgage application to BM Solutions was very promising and “should not be any problem” after the advisor understands my situation, receiving all my documents and spoke with the lender. After I paid the broker fee £699 and the application submitted, the mortgage advisor did not even update me until I chased and got inform via a phone call instead of putting in writing that my application was declined straight away by the lender just a few days after the submission. And then they offered me very expensive bridging loans as alternative solution or advise me to sell the property. It is showing they are actually very inexperienced and incompetent, what they want from the beginning is misled me that they found a lender for you which sounds very promising to trick me to pay their £699 broker fee. Before I paid the £699 broker fee, all correspondences including documentations didn't show the fee isn't non-refundable or there is a 14-day cancellation period. Only when I paid the broker fee, I received confirmation email from them stating the fee isn't non-refundable which broke the consumer code as there is always 14-day cancellation/ cooling down period. Also on the day the mortgage advisor called me to inform me my application is declined, it was still within 14 days cancellation period, I have asked if the broker fee can be refunded, he said no. And from the final response from them regarding my formal complaint to request refund my money they said I didn’t request refund within the 14 day cancellation period, well that is my first time I saw they actually saying that the fee has that term. You can tell how dishonest and non-genuine in their service manner. Luckily, I have found other two brokers provided me other lenders and both got into valuation and offer from the lender and now I completed on my property purchase. But I will still want to get them to refund me my money by making a formal complaint to the Financial Ombudsman and local trade standard office also the lender BM Solutions. As I work for one the biggest property developer in the country I have also inform our business partners including property sales agents to share my misled and unfairly treated experience with Dynamo. Update: Since Dynamo responded to this review on the 3rd of March 2023 saying that they will respond to me shortly via email - to this day I have no heard anything from them. The financial ombudsman has accepted my case and you are under investigation at the moment.
