Bought after seeing an online feature. Pack arrived quickly, had precise instructions and looks easy to use. Applied kit to the bonnet of a VW Golf Mk5 which I was considering having resprayed. Washed, cleaned and prepped bonnet first. The kit was easy to use and after step1 looked like any other "dab it" chip pen but, the secret is step two which removes 'over paint' leaving a precise repair. I was extremely impressed and did the rest of the bonnet where needed. One note of caution, the finishing gloss needs only to be applied a little at a time or is difficult to remove. A really good, quality product - better than any I've tried before.

I had tied an alternative touch up paint brand on a scuff / scratch I had but the results were poor so I tried Chipex and the result was amazing. I will say however that I had to repeat the stages a number of times because I was removing the touchup paint with the blending solution supplied as part of the kit. But once I determined what was the correct drying time, the very light pressure needed on the paint removal cloth and the less is more approach to the blending solution the result was very impressive. Be patient, follow the instructions and if need be repeat and you won't be disappointed.

Terrible experience. Package arrived damaged-suspected tampered with so daren’t use it. However when I sent pictures to chippex & showed evidence of this & my concerns, I was told I could not have a refund. Will never use again!

Very bad experience. I ordered a paint colour for a Honda motorcycle from Chipex, supplying the manufacturer paint code and paying £40 for my 'kit'. Weeks went by with no paint arriving nor communication from them. When I called to enquire about the whereabouts of my paint, they told me they weren't able to supply it after all for some reason which wasn't made clear. However, they had waited for me to get back in touch with them rather than simply issuing a credit and having the manners to contact me about any issue. Absolute rubbish!

Being honest I was a bit sceptical about this product. However after mastering how to use it, I'm glad I bought it. It's made a massive difference to the stone chip 'rash' I had on the front of my car. Very pleased with the results.

I've been recommended Chipex by a few friends now and they've all said how good it is. I bought myself a Mustang the other week and it had a few stone chips that I wanted rid of to ensure the front end looks as good as it can do. I'm mega impressed with the quality of the paint match, and the quality of the equipment provided to do the job. The instructions were very easy and simple and the results speak for themselves!

I was apprehensive that I would make a mistake. I read all the instructions and watched videos. I have used touch up pens in the past, but they are just applying paint. This system looked more professional. You get a pot of paint to match your car, a blending solution to remove excess paint (or start again) and then a polish compound to finish it off. It is easy to use. First apply the paint, wait a couple of minutes for it to dry, then using the blending solution, a cloth and the foam block. Very gently move it side to side over the chip/scratch. It will remove the excess paint for outside the chip/scratch. The trick is to be gentle and let the solution do it thing, rather than wipe hard and remove the paint. If you make a mistake, then wipe hard and remove the paint and start again. No problem. I found it good and will definitely use it again.

Well done Chipex, excellent product!! First time I have tried this and the results are first class. Colour match is spot on which is impressive as my car is metallic blue. You have to know where the repair is and look really hard in the right lighting to see it!!

This is the first time i ever used Chipex and i am very happy with it. It’s very easy to use and it matches the paint of my 10 year old car 100%. The intructions that came with the kit are very easy to follow.

Picked up a scuff and some paint damage while parked and used a chipex touch up kit to repair. Colour matched well and the polish was really good removing the scuffs

Followed the instructions to the letter when rubbing the excess paint away lightly it still removes all the paint, for the price it’s not worth it, I’ve tried several times and still the same result wouldn’t bother paying the price they charge, sorry but it’s crap

It’s a great bit of kit you need to practice and take your time and the kit includes all the bits you need to make a really good job of not only chips in the paint but it also works wonders on scratches.

I've used chipex a few times now. Each time the colour matches perfectly and all the right equipment to do the job. Easy tutorial to help you get the best results. In reality, your finished job will never be perfect, but done the way they explain it'll be dam close...

Chipex - perfect match for my Lotus in Arctic silver. Has made a small chip on the otherwise pristine paintwork vanish. Previously I had always thought matching silver was impossible but Chipex has made it possible. Really impressive and a totally different experience from you usual touchup pens
