Called and signed up a few months ago. The service fee was not a lot so decided to give it a chance. Was really skeptical at first, and wasn't holding my breath for any real outcome. To my surprise, as promised my payments got reported and score went up by 62 points. All in one month difference. I opted out to have my payments reported for the previous years. Rental kharma has helped me tremendously. Recently my property management decided they would longer assist with the reporting and Lindsey W. contacted me and resolved the issue right away. She was professional and after the day I was having - she was the the only person WHO MADE AN ATTEMPT TO help me that day. Not from rental kharma but in general. Best steer clear of this service. Rental Kharma does not fully disclose all stipulations and restrictions during their sign-up process. This feels purposeful on their part to justify collecting a sign-up fee, which I can only assume makes up the bulk of their revenue. These restrictions and limitations are only exposed to the customer after you have signed up, at which point its determined they aren't able to provide their service. However when you cancel, even with their "100% Money Back Guarantee," they will retain the sign-up fee and then send a very libelous email. This is the statement I received during my cancellation process with Rental Kharma, "We have not reported your attempt to add false rental payments to your credit file to any state or local authorities or the credit bureaus." I think this statement speaks for itself. I was sent this simply because all utilities are included in my rent and my inability to provide a utility bill meant I was attempting some sort of fraud. I left them and went to their competitor who had zero challenge verifying all my information. Do you really want to do business with a company that makes idle threats and libelous statements towards its customers? There are better alternatives and similar services on the market.

As a caller, I pressed option 3 in the queue, which is for renters whom are non-members bc I was interested in finding out more. Courtney, the head for the department, answered the phone. I let her know I was seeking some information. I did not feel she was guiding me through any questions to find any info she needed to know where I am at. She rudely said that Normaly people call and have specific questions, to have a human interaction, after looking at the info on their website. So what are my questions. If I wamted human interaction I'd invite a friend over, not be on the phone for a possible interest in service. Also, given that some people have disabilities that make it difficult for folks to use the internet skillfully or who learn orally, I found it very rude to assume full capability and made me feel less competent for not knowing what specific questions I was supposed to ask like "normally" people do. When I asked to speak to a manager, she said there is no manager. When I asked to speak to anyone above her she said there is no one above her, that she is the head of the department. After asking if she was the owner, Courtney told me the only other person was the CEO and that she couldn't transfer me. When I asked for the CEO's email address or phone number for a voice mail, she said all comments must be made at support @ rentalkharma.com Rather than spending my time on this, I asked for a new representative. I then spoke to Christian, who was great! He gave me some leading info that prompted me to have more questions. He was honest and spoke of the pros and cons of the service in my particular case. He offered me to be able to ask for him if I needed more help and was very friendly. This company needs a Head of the Dept with an attitude a lot more like his from the beginning. If the company wants customers to join, he knows how to speak to us. I'll likely be joining thanks to him.

I have never trusted myself using credit cards due to the significant amount to student debt I have acquired.
