I should have known really. The guy on the phone wanted some details including the faults I was aware of - given - and asked for a photo which I sent. He said that the price offered on the phone would be the price paid. They got the photo and then offered a price and I accepted so I could buy the next car before it went to someone else. Come the day to pick it up the guy turns up (unannouced despite being told I would have a hour's notice). He then takes more pictures, asks for keys and starts the car, opens the bonnet and boot. Then plugs in a code reader to look for faults! Which was not quite the process their salesman had described - shame I did not tape the call. Voice from their office rings and says the bonnet is a slightly different colour to the rest of the car saying correcting the "faults would cost £400" but he would knocks £300 off the price and so brings it down to the trade in price I had skipped. Given that the picture I sent was a three quarter view where you can see where the bonnet on a Mini meets the rest of the car and I can't see a difference they should have been aware of this "issue" when they made the offer. But I was not totally surprised. Second time I've used one of these buy on line outfits who promise no quibble and yet that is the first thing they do. They bank on you being committed elsewhere and then cut the price back to trade in value. And anyone who pays £400 to get a Mini bonnet resprayed is being robbed - the other fault they mentioned would take ten minutes with a heat gun to remove a strip of vinyl covering some chrome on the car which I had told them was there! My advice is don't believe the no quibble promise because they will and don't leave yourself without the option to walk away when they do. No wonder the used car trade is viewed by most people on a par with politicians and estate agents. Still this lot read their Trustpilot reviews so won't be happy with this one and I am sure will blame me. Shame I didn't read their's first!!! At least the payment was prompt!

Selling my late father in laws car was a minefield. From unrealistic quotes from online auction companies, to over complicated processes with car dealerships. I found motor dough by chance and from the first call with Aaron to the pick up with Bradley within 24 hours. I’m a very satisfied customer and cannot recommend the team highly enough.

Total waste of time. They cancelled and rescheduled 4 times, until today's no show. Not even a phone call this time, but I guess they've run out of excuses. I wasted almost 2 months with these jokers. Now selling my car elsewhere.

I cannot speak highly enough about the service this firm provides it is so quick and easy. Jamie was my contact and the communication was excellent both by email and WhatsApp to give details and send photographs A valuation was given to me over the phone and confirmation was emailed to which I agreed, A friendly and polite young man called Brad collected the car at an appointed time slot and, and after a quick check the money was in my account before the car was driven away. In a world where everything is such a struggle and communications with companies are at an all-time low I cannot speak highly enough of both Jamie and Brad who made the whole transaction so easy and I thank Motordough, Jamie and Brad very much.

I can recommend this company to anyone wanting to sell their car quickly and easily. The whole process was quick and straightforward.
