I was referred to Rio Moving by my Real Estate agent after I purchased my home. Right from the first phone call I was impressed with the staff of this company. Jona handled my estimate and was very nice to work with in planning the details for my move. The crew of Jeramie and Chris far exceeded my expectations for my move on Thursday, October 03, 2024. The crew was very courteous and respectful during the move. They made the entire process very easy and handled my belongings with care and there was no damage. I will highly recommend them to my family and friends. Rio Moving should be very proud to have such a friendly and excellent crew working for them!!

Great crew, Rio Moving sent a father and son crew, Edward and Edward JR. They are the best! They showed up on time, we’re careful and costs came in under estimate. We are very satisfied.

The crew was awesome! They were all very pleasant. They showed up on time, and were very efficient and careful with our household items. Everything was wrapped, and they even put felt pads on the furniture legs so it wouldn't scratch our hardwood.

This has to be one of the most unprofessional business transactions I’ve ever encountered. On September 14th, I was approved for my new home and promptly began searching for a moving service. I contacted Rio Moving and scheduled a move for September 30th. However, on September 29th, they reached out to reschedule to Thursday, which is a nightmare scenario for anyone familiar with the moving process and the potential fallout from property managers. They assured me they could stick to the original date, yet on September 30th, no movers showed up, and they made no attempt to contact me. When I reached out, they suggested moving me on Wednesday, October 2nd. I insisted on an earlier date since they had already failed to honor our agreement. Finally, on October 1st, they promised movers at 5 PM. That time came and went without any communication from them. They then rescheduled for 8 PM, but once again, no one arrived. I was told 10 PM would be the latest. Yet again, there was no show and no contact. On October 2nd, I called Rio Moving to find out what was going on. Shawn, the dispatcher, seemed completely unaware that my move hadn’t been completed. He claimed he needed to reach his mover, Robert, but couldn’t. After much effort, I finally connected with Robert, who assured me that Ronald would finish the job, which was now three days overdue. Ronald eventually contacted me after multiple attempts on my end, only to inform me he couldn’t help due to sudden family issues. At this point, I had already hired another moving company to complete the job. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend doing business with this dishonest company. They epitomize unprofessionalism and can leave you in a dire situation. It’s clear they are likely understaffed but chose to mislead customers to secure sales, delaying services until they finally had workers available. Honesty should be fundamental in any business, and your money is better spent elsewhere. Beware!

Rio Moving and their crew have helped me with three moving jobs so far. Biggest draw for me the first time around was the cost. Their rates are by far the best, even with mileage factored in. They are willing to travel to the Bay area as well! Carlos and his crew are careful, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with. They take extra care to avoid damage and keep safety in mind. They work efficiently and are flexible when it comes to changes in the moving plan. Carlos and his crew will be helping me again in mid October with a move. Don’t hesitate to give Rio Moving a call! You will not be disappointed!

Great company to work with! All the guys from the drivers to the packing/unloading crew on each end of the move were top notch. They truly are a group of professionals that take the time and pack everything right. We went from Fort Worth to Dallas and everything about the move was top tier, from communication, to a pretty much exact arrival time these guys were the best.

I highly recommend Rio Moving for any move. On short notice, after another moving company bailed on me and my family, Rio Moving took the job of moving us from Germantown MD to Henrico VA. The team was extremely professional, wrapped everything carefully, were extremely careful with our home, and kept us in the loop during the entire process. After moving such a big distance, there was no damage to any of our furniture!!! Hands down the best moving experience we have ever had!!!

I am disabled (I use a walker and sometimes a wheelchair) and was moving into my girlfriend & my first place together. We are members of the LGBTQ+ community, and were nervous about looking for movers who would be respectful of us. So it was twice as important to us to find the right people. The folks at Rio Moving are a class act. Kind, courteous, accommodating. They came in, moved swiftly and intentionally, and treated us as if we were any other paying customer, just as it should be. Asked if we wanted this cabinet centered here or that table moved an inch this way for spacing purposes. They said they work with designers and are mindful of aesthetics. In addition, they moved my beloved wheelchair, and were extremely careful with it. You can tell this is what they do, and they do it well. Thank you, Rio Moving for making the stressful process that is moving easy. Job VERY well done!

Incredible, gods amongst men truly. I have never been able to afford movers before. I’ve had to rely on my wonderful friends but omg is this a whole other experience. Two dudes knocked out a couch in 10 minutes that I’ve seen 4 friends take 2 hours with and remove a chunk of wall in the process (along with all will to continue existing for awhile). They were professional, efficient; hell they even put the bed frame together. Well worth every penny honestly. I will support y’all as long as you exist from here on out I’m your #1 fan. Thank you SO much.

My previous moving company could not move my massive sectional couch into my condo after I had someone come to my house to determine if it could or could not be moved. I was told the job could be done and could be done through a balcony, since the couch was too long to fit through the door in my hallway. So, on move in day when the movers refused to try and move the couch I was left stressed out and out of options. I was then quickly referred to not only by my realtor but also other moving companies in the Indianapolis area that Rio Moving could get the job done. And let me say they did just that. Not to say this was an easy task because it certainly was not moving a couple hundred pound 10' section and another 9' section through a small balcony door, but the guys made it happen professionally, quickly, and with quality. I can't thank them enough!!!

After my work injury, I was unable to move my own furniture into my new apartment. It was causing a lot of pain and frustration looking for a moving company on such short notice. When I stumbled upon Rio Moving website I noticed they gave free estimates. Upon calling for the estimate I was greeted with a very welcoming and professional response. I have a lot of old heavy furniture so I was expecting the job to be quite expensive for me. Luckily the pricing was very reasonable and I was able to hire them. They moved my furniture/stuff with the care and caution as if they themselves owned it. They were efficient and helped me out so much, I was glad to have randomly found them. It’s so nice to see and have a local company that works WITH the community. If I ever move again they’re the first ones I’m calling!!

I would give them 100 stars! These young men are trustworthy, honest, tireless workers. My family is so grateful for Rio Moving. They helped us last minute with loading our truck and treated our possessions gently and respectfully. Every inch of the truck was utilized to pack our items in securely- talk about Tetris champions! We got lucky they had another opening and we ended up hiring them again the next day to help with loading the truck a second time. Moving with a toddler is so hard but they patiently listened to our kiddo’s chatter throughout the day and treated him with just as much respect as they showed us. As with all moves, something old made of glass ended up broken, but we were immediately informed and Shawn (Operations Manager) adjusted the total even when I assured him it wasn’t necessary. My husband and I were just happy no one got hurt! I hope we don’t move again any time soon, but we would definitely hire Rio Moving again!

I would recommend Rio Moving to anybody! Baba and CJ were so professional, caring and friendly! I really appreciate the hard work they put in today getting me into my new place! They stayed in contact since I booked them, their prices are legit no hidden fees, and they were on time today and took great care of my belongings! The movers came to my house in a small U Haul branded truck. They brought no dolly and lacked proper tools to do the job. Because they lack proper equipment, the move took long then it needed too. When there movers went 15 minutes over the time, thet tried to say they were done without tell us the total cost. Had I not spoken up they would have charged me for 4 hours, but left after we 3.25 hours. Speaking with their office after the disappointing service was a waste of time. They used excuses for their employees poor performance, blamed me for their staff not having a dolly and tried to make excuse as to why they didn’t need a dolly. Won’t be using again.

Hats off to Robert and the team at Rio Moving! They assisted me in a cross-town move for my 1- bedroom apartment. David at the office took the time to provide an accurate estimate and was both professional and responsive throughout the process. I even threw them a curveball prior to the move and it was all handled without issue. Will be using them for future moves and recommending to others.

If you’re looking for movers, I’ll save you time from having to call around to others. Rio Moving's crew are very professional and had excellent communication. It was quickly apparent that the company takes pride in their work and the years of experience of their crew was shown very quickly during the process. As a bonus, the rates were very competitive. Rio Moving is awesome! We've used them twice now, moving both times in Chicago in the last 4 years. Best value I found. Local movers wanted double what Rio Moving charged. Darnell was on time, very professional, and an expert at moving heavier items with a lot of care (including an antique upright piano out of a very narrow doorway!) Can't recommend him enough! If you book Rio Moving, ask for Darnell by name! You'll be very glad you did!

We have moved 24 times in our life (we were military) and this was one of the best. Because we were downsizing/moving to a smaller home, we chose to sort out and pack ourselves. Rio Moving picked us up/loaded and moved/delivered to another state. Their supervisor/driver was knowledgeable and professional. He watched over his younger crew. Their work was professional, timely and completed successfully. Estimate of charges was spot-on. Much better than using “moving brokers” from the internet who grossly underestimate weight and cube to suck you in at an estimated lower rate!

Absolutely fantastic experience! Had a 20 ft uhaul I needed unloaded into some ReloCubes and the guys were great. Arrived on time, fast, efficient, and professional, with great attitudes as well! Stephan and AJ were wonderful, knocked that truck out in no time, with room to spare in the cubes, and care taken to protect my items in transit. If you need to be moved or even just need some extra help with a move, give these guys a call. They are worth every penny.
