This was the first time my wife and I ever hired moving services, and we’re so glad we did. Rio Moving was one of the few moving companies who offered their services over an hour away from their service location in Chicago. The team worked quickly and carefully and were able to pack a shocking amount into our truck. To top it all off, our unloading arrangements with another company fell through later that day and we called Rio Moving again to see if they could fit us in last minute. Sure enough, they showed up a couple of hours later and went above and beyond to make sure the unloading process went smoothly. Great group of guys - will definitely hire them again for a future move. Highly Recommended!

Rio Moving Service was the best and a blessing! After the loss of our mom we needed the service of movers. Rio Moving was not only very reasonably priced but the service we received by Luke and Jordan made the move a little bit easier. They were careful with everything and did a wonderful job fitting everything into the truck. They were nice, friendly and courteous. The Best Movers. Ever. I've moved 11 times since 1984. Rio Moving is the best moving crew by far. The crew worked steady on, handling my personal belongings with the utmost care. Surely, they handled my belongings better than they handle their own. Here's how well they treated my possessions. They handled my boxes and furniture as if they were at their grandma's house, moving her Precious Moments figurines, box by box. And grandma is sitting in her rocking chair, right near the door, keeping a close eye on everyone, making sure they're moving with deliberate speed but not so fast as to cause damage. Grandma, watching intently, is holding a flyswatter, and will, if she thinks it's needed, will lash out with a well-aimed swat, whenever she sees an issue with a worker, both real and imagined. And nobody wants to get swatted with grandma's ire. That's how careful the team was with my stuff. I'd hire then again without hesitation. Thank you!

These guys are amazing. I couldn't even get any of the local movers around Virginia Beach to give me a call back or show up to look at the trailer. Rio Moving gave me a quote over the phone and stuck to it. They were easy to work with and flexible. They drove from Richmond VA to Virginia Beach to move our trailer home and did an amazing job. They were able to set it down in a location that was rather a tight squeeze with no problems at all. If you live in the Virginia Beach or Hampton Roads area, I would suggest you give these guys a call. The local guys might show if you are lucky (but if you are that lucky, you might win the lottery first). Rio Moving will show up, and they will work with your schedule and do what you need them to do.

From the estimate to moving the last box these guys were GREAT! Driver was friendly and on time. The movers packed everything up efficiently and took great care with our items. A different crew unloaded and they were just as courteous and careful with our items as the previous. It was such a stress free experience, I would completely move with this company again.

From Adam, Brent and Basil I have to say this was an amazing experience. They packed, moved and delivered to our home at exactly the times and dates they said they would. I was worried about all the scammy type moving companies and was worried about any one I called but luckily I found this amazing place. Brent is a professional, showed up and went over the entirety of the home and gave us an extremely accurate assessment on the day of the move. They also told us a day prior to how we needed to be ready and gave us all the information we needed. Adam, an extremely friendly, and kind person, kept in touch with us on billing and made sure we understood the whole process. He's also very funny and had us in stitches. Basil is the energetic, hard-working, get-things-done type that you hope shows up to help you with a big move. He not only was super friendly but very energetic, disassembled and reassembled things quickly and accurately. Showed up when he said he would, worked until the job was done, stayed to make sure we were happy and never complained once. I know it's easy to be skeptical about moving companies, I did my research, learned a lot about the scams companies try to pull but not once did this company ever mislead us or lie to us. No hidden fees, no bs charges, hard working people who take care of you from start to finish. If you have a big move coming up, don't settle for anyone else. Rio Moving will get the job done. Oh and a pro tip: Take care of your movers, and they'll be good to you. Feed them, make sure they're not thirsty, and reward the hard work and they'll go above and beyond for you. Honey not vinegar as my wife says :)

I just posted a very negative review about Rio Moving and I wish to publicly retract it. A box that was misplaced by one of my sons was found and contains all of the items thought to be lost or damaged. This was my error and mine alone and I now cannot voice any concern with Rio Moving whatsoever. In fact the two movers were extremely courteous and hard working and I now realize I did not tip them enough. Sorry about the confusion.

They handled a short notice situation on our military move with professionalism and grace and worked out a clerical issue that had my husbands and my shipments on the same day with two separate companies. Worked quick and efficiently and were almost entirely out of our residence by the time the second company showed up.

Highly recommend. Of the three moves I’ve had, they’re the only company that fully wrapped, packaged and secured ALL of my items. No matter the size everything was protected by padded wrapping material or packed into boxes by their crew. They were on time, friendly and incredibly respectful of our household goods. Not a single piece was tossed or thrown into a box and everything was treated with respect.

Had a really smooth and quick move with these guys today, despite the thunderstorm, rain and awful weather. Honestly an enormous big thank you for all your help. Really appreciated that these guys were very punctual and organized. You were on time to the dot and even gave a prior courtesy call. Above and beyond! I was secretly very worried about my refrigerator getting a dint but the way they carried it was unbelievably careful. Well done guys for your incredible hard work. Couldn’t have done it without your help! One of the movers hands slipped on a box, but it completely wasn’t his fault at all. It was literally pouring rain in combination and a very slippery box (smooth surface). We did lose a bowl but it’s no problem at all. Next time I’ll pack my fragile things in regular cardboard boxes-(not the glossy boxes they came in) they have much better grip. I wanted to mention it as a tip for someone else to possibly read. Again big thank you guys! Wonderful work! My partner and I are so happy with our move. Would absolutely move with you again. Thank you for your generous hard work.

I highly recommend them!! They did a fantastic job. They packed up our 3-bedroom apartment and moved/helped unpack into our 3-bedroom house within just a day! They were very professional, friendly, attentive, and careful with our belongings. The price was also very reasonable for the comprehensive service we received. We were very happy with their services and will definitely use them again if we move in the future!

Stephen and the rest of Rio's crew were fast and efficient, packed the truck like Tetris and met me at my new home to unload. Adam is very communicative and kept in touch by text or call the whole time. They packed me up in Vegas, drove the truck to Henderson, NV and unloaded in an hour without handing off any part of the job to anyone else. This was important to me as I didn’t want to have to deal with multiple entities with a mover. Same people from start to finish. Very reasonable and always asked how my packing was going in case I needed any help before the deadline. Great experience, good people. Thank you Rio Moving team!

David and Scott was a big help the guys was so nice and quick they moving quickly .. They understand the hassle of moving and always attentive to what needed to be done and made sure everything was good and packed. They're hard workers and will make sure everything is securely packed and neatly done. The make moving easy simple and friendly. I wouldn't go with any other moving company.

Really appreciated the call ahead with an almost exact time of arrival. I wish all moving companies did this. They were gentle with my furniture taking great care not to damage anything, either the furniture or the doorways on their way in. Nice, professional, respectful (even asked about how my day was going).

The staff at Rio Moving have always been very professional and friendly. From the guys behind the phone to the crew that moved my 2 bedroom townhouse. In particular the operations manager Mr. Shawn Khan who has always gone above and beyond to get my move done according to my crazy schedule. He always found a way to help me when I was in a bind. I know moving can be pretty challenging at times, but I know I can count on him. Thank you for making this part of my job a little less stressful!!

Today I had the best moving service experience with Stephen and Matt from Rio Moving. I’ve had a number of moves during my 23 years of service as a military member, but nothing came close to the professionalism and courtesy displayed by Stephen and Matt. I would recommend them specifically to anyone for moves large or small.

Absolutely love them.! First time moving with them. Had a great experience. The guys were super nice and professional. They moved the furniture and arranged it how we wanted it. Nothing was damaged, they took great care of the furniture. Very reasonable pricing. The front desk associate was nice, straight to the point with pricing, called me confirm the move date, they called the day of the move to let me know that the guys were heading my way. Definitely recommend them!

Rio movers were very professional. They confirmed the day before and the driver texted me the morning of the move. The quote and what I paid for were the same. I paid $450 for a 3-hour move but that included the travel time, the fuel and taxes. They were very fast and very efficient. Shawn at the office was very nice and listed all the prices and was true to his word. I would move with them again.
