As long as you have your information handy (e.g. recent electricity bill) it literally takes 5 minutes to find a better deal. The sign up process (acknowledging recorded messages) is as is required to meet regulations. Super worthwhile to see if there is a better deal out there. Both my interactions have been positive; pleasant and directly related to savings for our family.
