Lovely paint with quick delivery. The sticky samples are great too! We'll be back for more soon when we get our act together on the kitchen.

Very glad I spent the extra money on this paint, application was easy, no drips and 2 coats plenty. Delivery was a little delayed with a bit of a hazy explanation but once I enquired it was with me next day so no harm done. Only trouble now is it’ll have to be Coat paints for the rest of the house but they are worth the money.

Once again I feel compelled to describe my experience with Darlington Coat paint I ran out of wall paint and needed a small amount to finish the job The second tin is at least three shades different from the first tin I had paid a decorator to finish the job and I now have a line where one ends and the old one starts Unless you want to have a nervous breakdown (like me ) do not use Darlington paint The wood paint also chips really easily It’s a mess considering how much it’s cost me 😢

Great paint, beautiful colours and fantastic customer service! Fast delivery too. My first order arrived the next day, the second one was slightly held up due to a busy period but customer services pushed it forward after one phone call and it arrived the next day. Highly recommend!

Ordered samples. Never arrvied. Coat said it is an amazon problem and it is "weird" Last samples came by royal mail - not convinced they know how to run an order tracking system. Their portal shows it has not been sent, they say it is lost by Amazon. Everything I talk to them about sounds like they are complete amatuers.

First time user of this brand and it won't be my last. One coat would have done it all but the fact my eyesight in fading light let me down. The next day I went over the small areas I'd missed and you couldn't tell where I'd gone over it once it had dried. The quality and coverage was amazing and worth every penny! The team were really helpful with the queries I had too.

I've just colour drenched my room using flat matt Factor Fifty. I absolutely adore this colour and how it changes with different light (natural and artificial as well as time of day) I could watch the colour shift all day and not get bored!! The application was brilliant with two coats giving even coverage and a great finish. I used the eggshell paint in the same colour for skirtings and door frame which required 3 coats for even coverage and no brush strokes. Ordering and delivery were straightforward and prompt. This paint does come at a premium price but for the pigmentation, application, finish and customer service it's absolutely worth it!

Not the best paint I've used. And I've been in the game 30 years.

I’m very disappointed with the outcome of using COAT's kitchen top coat and primer. The top coat was advertised as suitable for 'unstable kitchen surfaces', and the primer was advertised as 'suitable for melamine', the material my kitchen cabinets are made of. No instructions were provided on the application, so I had to rely on online advice to figure out how to prep the surface and apply. I cleaned the area with sugar soap and applied two coats of primer and topcoat using a dense sponge roller to avoid drips. A uniform coat is essential to avoid the appearance that the area was painted. From the beginning, the paint didn’t adhere properly, making it difficult to achieve a smooth, even finish. Even though I managed (with a lot of effort) to achieve a uniform look, the paint soon began peeling in high-use areas, and with just a light scratch, it came off down to the primer and the surface below. I contacted COAT’s customer service. They asked for videos, photos, and even the paint itself to run a "lab test." Their test included an adhesion test (applying paint and then peeling/scratching it to see if it stays in place) on several surfaces, but none of them were melamine, the material I used. Instead, they tested on a small laminate surface, assuming the adhesion would be similar to melamine. They concluded the adhesion was "perfect," even though it was clear that the paint had completely peeled off in five areas during their own test. In my opinion, any amount of peeling, no matter the size or number of areas, is unacceptable and far from 'perfect' for kitchen paint. It’s also important to point out that their lab test didn’t reflect real-world kitchen conditions - like exposure to heat, steam, and water. Based on my experience, especially with my dishwasher, where the paint 'melted away', it’s clear that COAT’s paint isn’t suitable for kitchen use at all. COAT's suggestions?: Sanding the doors, allowing for a month of curing time, and applying more primer. None of these steps were mentioned in the paint usage instructions on the COAT website. They offered to refund the cost of the paint and more paint to paint the areas where it peeled. Now, again, unlike walls, once the paint starts peeling off a kitchen door, it’s not as simple as touching up small areas - it needs a full, uniform coat, which means repainting everything. Given the effort it took me and my lost confidence in this product, I’m not willing to go through the process again. So, after a long and frustrating process of negotiating with customer service, I’m now left with a nearly £1,500 bill to replace my kitchen fronts. You can decide for yourself if this is a risk worth taking!

Love the finish of the clay matt paint. Really easy and enjoyable (!) to work with and covers beautifully. TBH first coat of Old Street on white looked fully covered but I did 2 coats for longevity and maintenance. Such a difference from high street crap which was what led me online to find an alternative in the first place

After much deliberation (due to the cost) we took the plunge with two different colours from Coat. We’re so glad we did and these will now be our go to as and when the need arises. Don’t be put off by the price as a little goes a very long way (which is great for us non-professional painters!). The paint is great to work with. We bought a 2.5l (big timer) which covered hallway (1mt x1mt) stairway (walls either side) and landing. We bought the sheen due to reduced light into the staircase, and it’s just lovely. We also purchased a 1lt of the record store colour to cover a 2.5 x 2.5 wall…..there is a lot left over! Pigment is rich, and colour is true to the sample.

We needed to paint our hallway which is a very large area, so for the first time in a while we decided to treat ourselves to a 'higher quality' paint brand and Coat had a lot of colours that we really liked after ordering a few samples. We spent circa £380 on paint with them, and never will I spend a penny with them again! Although we are very pleased with the colour, the finish and durability is shocking. We do a lot of DIY and prepped thoroughly so we know it isn't a lack of prep. The amount of scuffs and chips to the paint within days is unbelievable. I bought a small tin just for touch ups as we have already had to do two rounds of touch ups a week after finishing. Don't waste your money

Impressed by the colour and ease to use I ordered the Hello Vera colour for a kids bedroom project and the result is amazing! Very easy to use, great quality and no brush marks. I applied the paint with their roller and the whole process was amazing. Their decorators tape also amazing, sharp lines without leaking through. Very impressed - now thinking about my next project with Coat!

The team could not have been more helpful. Our interior designer recommended COAT paint, we we have put through out a project in Holland Park. It looks fabulous and they were kind enough to help with assisting us with additional questions. I would highly recommend.

Unbelievable paint with excellent coverage Using COAT for the first time today and I was blown away by just how good the coverage of this product is. I was told it would cover in 2 coats regardless of the colour and was sceptical. Well 1 coat was almost solid 2 coats looked amazing I will definitely be using COAT again on future projects
