My first time using Coat paint and I’ve been so impressed! I painted our kitchen in Yard Party and it went on a dream. So easy to use with both a roller and a brush and a great consistency too. Two coats was ample—even for one section that previously had chalkboard paint—and I found the paint went really far as well. Super quick delivery and the stirrer was a great addition too. I’m completely converted and would struggle to use anything else going forward now I think.

As an interior designer I have had a marvellous experience working with COAT Paints. The palettes are exquisite and perfectly suited to all projects, and the customer service is fantastic. Delivery is prompt and Dex seamlessly provided professional and attentive service.

I have been choosing Coat Paints for clients of Crocus Interior Design as well as in my own home for a year or so now and have not been disappointed once. I initially learnt about them as was looking for a paint supplier that had decent eco credentials - only making what is needed, the VOC rating, packaging and so on. I carried on using them as the colour is always perfect and every painter that I've employed has commented on how lovely it is to work with. They also tick all my sustainable business boxes. It looks stunning too. What's not to love? As well as having its amazing colour swatches - which clients love! - Dexter and the team are always there to answer questions, help with deliveries and offer support. I use Coat Paints for almost all of my interior design projects, and used them in every room of my own home. My decorators have told me how much they love working with the product, and having worked with it myself too I can confirm that it's extremely easy to go on and has excellent coverage too. Dexter is always on hand to help whenever I need anything from a trade point of view, and I've never been disappointed with the service. The fact that every tin is made to order so you know it's really fresh, but that also it's more environmentally friendly is such a bonus. Oh, and the colours are to die for!

We ordered a colour match RAL paint from COAT and from start to finish - the experience was a pleasure. Dexter Langkilde was super helpful, absolutely everything was seamless because of Dexter's approach to our requirements. Our Decorators mentioned how wonderful the quality of the paint was too! My professional decorator used this paint for my kitchen and has had to redo it as the original paint has marked so easily. I am very disappointed with the quality of this product - I picked it as the colour was exactly right but I now regret my decision.

Absolutely addicted to Coat Paints. We've just done a full scale downstairs refurbishment and chose three Coat Paint colours for walls and woodwork. Baked, Record Store and Margot. They all complement each other brilliantly and my husband (who does ALOT of decorating) really likes the application and finish of the paint.

I ordered Coat as I'd seen them advertised around. Their colours were lovely but unfortunately the quality is not up to scratch with the price. The paint is not durable at all. It marks with the tiniest of touch and weirdly peels. It's not what I had expected and it's happened with two different colours on two different walls. Our walls were clean and primed. As a lot of people have mentioned, the website calculator definitely suggests too much paint, which we will now use for the constant touch ups but we will be re decorating with a more reliable company later in the year and won't be recommending coat unfortunately.

Actualisation 2: Je viens de peindre ma chambre avec la couleur bleu paon (thé posh seats). Après avoir utilisé mon pot de 2,5l j'ai du procéder à quelques reprises ça et là très légères et disparates. J'ai donc ouvert mon deuxième pot de 1l celui-ci et qu'elle ne fût pas ma surprise, mon désarroi et mon dégoût que de constater que les deux pots pourtant de couleurs identiques... Ne sont pas identiques... Je me retrouve donc avec plein de traces de différentes nuances et j'ai donc dû racheter en urgence un pot de 2,5l aujourd'hui afin de refaire toute la pièce !! Je trouve cela inadmissible. Encore une fois j'accentue mon avis sur ces peintures surcotées et je constate par ailleurs que Coat cessera toute activité en France à compter du 31/01.... Cela ne m'étonne guère... Actualisation 1: J'ai bien pris note de votre réponse cependant je n'ai eu aucun contact mail reçu de votre part à cette heure. Cordialement. Après avoir passé ma commande de peinture à l'automne, j'ai enfin pu tester celle-ci dans ma maison neuve. Je m'étais orienté vers de la peinture haut de gamme pour cela mais j'en ressors extrêmement déçu après avoir fait mon salon en combinant les coloris Pampas et Baked. La couvrance n'est vraiment pas bonne, en tous cas pas à la hauteur de ce qui était annoncé. En effet j'ai dû appliquer 3 couches à la partie Baked et il en demeure toujours quelques défauts. Mon mur pourtant en placo neuf et parfaitement poncé à la girafe laisse toujours apparaître quelques imperfections. Pour ce qui est de la partie peinte en pampas, deux couches ont été appliquées et à grande luminosité on devine encore le bandes de mon placo... Bref plutôt déçu de la qualité même si le coloris quant à lui est parfaitement conforme...

I bought Biscuits for Breakfast and Alderley Edge. We absolutely love Biscuits for Breakfast - the paint goes in smooth and has a nice finish - it was true to the sample and looks lovely. I was sadly disappointed with Alderley Edge - it came out with a bit of an orange undertone, and was very different from the sample. Therefore, I contacted customer service and Johnny provided a solution. Overall; I would recommend Coats paint. Only 1 star missing as I was a bit bummed about Alderley Edge not being true to colour when the sample was so fantastic and a great match to the project. I am, however, happy with their services and solution.

I am looking for an exterior eggshell paint and wanted to see your colour chart before spending £40+ on paint and delivery. However I went to order the 'free' colour chart only to find that you are trying to charge me £1.50 for it to be delivered. This set off alarm bells for me. I would have thought that if you are trying to recruit customers then this surely should be a complimentary service to reel us in when we see your wonderful colours! Oh dear, that £1.50 has cost you much more than that in the long run!! I have just ordered the colour chart from Farrow and Ball ( complimentary ) and will be purchasing the paint from them when I have chosen the correct shade. I would have given you a try, but I'll stick with the reliable and honest company. BAD mistake.

We ordered 4 tins of paint after using the paint calculator tool on the coat website. The paint was lovely to use and looked great but after doing 1 coat it became very apparent that we had way too much paint and would have 2 tins unopened. At this point, I got in touch with Coat to see if we could return the tins for another colour (our original colour was dark blue and we didn’t want to paint the whole house blue!). Their customer service agreed to take the paint back and exchange despite being a couple of weeks past the return window. However, after their delivery partner refused to collect the paint my experience with coat went drastically downhill. The customer service team then did every thing they could to get out of honouring their original offer of exchange. They begrudgingly rearranged for collection of the paint and after a week of hearing nothing from them, I followed up only to be told that the paint had been damaged in transit and thrown away. I’m now a couple of hundred pounds out of pocket with no paint for something that is completely out of my control. Coat are also unable to provide evidence of the damage to the paint tin. Until the company revamps its customer service, I would avoid like the plague! It’s such a shame as the product itself is great but I will never order from them again and will be advising everyone I know to do the same!

They’re absolute fraudsters. We used their paint calculator to estimate how much to buy, they told us 10 tins. More fool us. We bought 4, and painted our room using 2. We spoke to an incredibly disingenuous man called Josh Clarke who made returning the paint as difficult as possible, and then when we did so, he told us the paint tins were damaged which he proved by sending us a photo of the box we’d returned them in which was slightly scuffed from transit. He said that because we hadn’t kept the original box (which was BEFORE we’d twigged their scam) was why the tin was damaged. The worst part of this is that we didn’t even want a refund, just an exchange. They’re abysmal.

We bought two interior paints. One of them applied perfectly. The other one, unfortunately, not so much. We applied the paints in the same room, under the same conditions, but very different finishes. The one that is playing up is the ‘coal drop’. It’s very fragile and I can’t wipe it clean. The surfactant seems to come out leaving a wet finish despite having prepped the walls appropriately. It leaks and is sticky to touch. We have contacted customer services about this first on 26th of Nov and had an initial reply that day. Johnny said ‘really keen to get the bottom of this’. Waiting for over two weeks now to get a follow up... We spent £162 on paint and are very disappointed with both the finish of the paint and the response from customer services or lack of considering the initial promise of solving our problem.

The paint is nice to use but the white did not match the sample and the returns process feels like it is deliberately difficult compared with other luxury paint brands I've used.

The colour Ciao Sophia is beautiful - a lovely pink with depths of grey Two coats on the wall were perfect but the coverage is excellent

Great quality and easy to use. No nasty after smells. I came across this company by chance, took a chance and have used for my last three decorating tasks at home.
