United Kingdom | 09 January 2025Avoid, using BLS will cost you dearly. In fear of being threatened with defamation action by Will, the Operations Director, I will keep this review factual. FACT – It took 23 weeks to complete on a straight forward cash purchase of a leasehold flat with no chain at either end and no complications. FACT – The website has an icon that says ‘get a quote’, when completed you will receive a document that is headed ‘quote’. However, when they send you the paperwork to sign up with them the quote will have been changed to an ‘estimate’. A quote is an agreed price whereas an estimate is open to change and believe me it will change because despite knowing your individual circumstances BLS will forget to include items that they know will be required, by law, to complete the purchase and you’ll end up paying more. FACT – If your conveyancer is absent due to sickness/holiday nobody at the company will pick up your case. FACT – BLS does not follow its own complaints policy. FACT – If you have a complaint don’t bother emailing or phoning it will get you nowhere, a negative review on Trustpilot will get you an instant response from Will who will threaten you with defamation charges and insist that you remove it. The only way to engage Will with your concerns is to agree to remove the Trustpilot review and then he’ll only make an effort to placate you without actually addressing the issues. He obviously considers himself as a people person but actually comes over as a bit of a chancer with zero sincerity, read the responses on Trustpilot to the one and two star reviews and you’ll get a feel of the type of people you’re dealing with – they assume they’re on first name terms and glibly use words such as humbled, proud, fantastic team etc repeatedly. FACT – They refuse requests to provide an up to date statement of costs until you reach the completion date. FACT – The conveyancer, in error, copied us into a notice from the Help to Buy ISA administrator who was threatening to review BLS’s licence to process the bonus due to a significant number of non-compliances to the scheme rules by BLS conveyancers. I’m sure BLS will respond to this review with the usual defensive blah blah blah we did our best but it's not our fault. This was a straightforward purchase and one in which the vendor’s solicitors were constantly chasing ours to no avail and should have taken at most, 8 – 12 weeks. Update Wow! BLS responded to my negative review within 13 hours and that covered overnight, if only they could respond to my emails as quickly or even at all!!! Have to ask how BLS cannot agree with facts? You can dispute the facts and offer evidence to prove them wrong, neither of which they’re able to do.

United Kingdom | 06 January 2025I had a disappointing experience with Bespoke Law Services. It was challenging to get updates on my case, which turned into a nightmare. During the process, my mortgage offer expired, and I had to contact my bank to request an extension, which they graciously granted; otherwise, I would have been left in a difficult position. Initially, we agreed on a price, but halfway through, I was informed that I needed to pay more. When I questioned this, I was told it was due to an additional fee. I pushed back and requested a review of our initial conversation, but I was told that I hadn’t used 'legal terms.' Ultimately, I felt pressured to accept a higher fee than originally agreed upon. Additionally, my solicitor was changed midway through the process, which added to the confusion. Overall, I would not use their services again and cannot recommend them to others

United Kingdom | 06 January 2025Bespoke Law Services provided clear communication throughout and quickly answered all enquiries. Our provided solicitor (Joe) was excellent at providing answers speedily. Be aware that their initial quote is not the final total cost, they make this clear at the start and provide a list of other potential add on costs, which you are given notice of by your solicitor each time. The only difficulty with that is not knowing in advance what extra might crop up until the process starts. If you need a set cost in advance to manage your budget this may not work for you, if you are able to put aside a rough amount to cover costs it’ll likely be fine. Cost wise they were still cheaper overall than some quotes I received, although inline with many others. Communication is largely by email, no office to visit etc and you will need to print off and post all documentation. This worked well for us, you are still guided through what needs signing, just not in person. The only issue for us really (and why I have 4 rather than 5 stars) was the length of time the process took, however our solicitor seemed to respond quickly to everything and then we awaited the rest of the chain. This isn’t specifically linked to Bespoke when there are a chain of solicitors involved. I suspect the way our solicitor worked we would have moved far quicker if the chain were shorter, however it was quite stressful not having a move date confirmed until very late on and with only a week to pull everything together.

United Kingdom | 04 January 2025Been 3 months dealing with them: 1st month: were all dead, not chasing no paperwork, no updates, I had to call the estate agent myself to get an update from the seller. Last few months: shit communication always replying back late in evening so you don’t get a reply back no matter how urgent it is, tried calling them once they will not forward the call ( got suspicious their scammers tbh), anyway went through process of verifying them, since then told me on the last working day before completion I have missing documents after telling me your ready to complete. Funny fact: every time u called them they out of their office, to the point when I called them on 3/01/25 at 5:03 ( please reply to this review with the transcript of the call) they said the person I needed was not here and somehow few minutes later she picked up the phone and spoke to me. Kelly tonge is the only clued on individual I spoke to, it’s a shame she couldn’t deal with my case for the whole duration.

It was easy to get the forms across, we were kept up to speed the whole time, individuals were accessible when necessary via the phone, we had a heads up when Joe was going to be away and I liked that transparency. All in all a faultless performance and a real weight off our mind during a long purchase due to matters out of everyone’s control, and I always felt we were in safe hands. I’d also like to thank Samantha for help in the early stages of the purchase helping me with the forms. I could not recommend Bespoke highly enough and will use for my own sale and any other matters requiring representation.

United Kingdom | 14 December 2024This would be the third time that Bespoke Law has been used for conveyancing which is a recommendation in itself . The conveyancing of a flat was handled by Chloe Macfarlane who then handed it over to Miles Everett whilst still overseeing it as she had taken on another position in the firm. Chloe obviously had the personal touch, both friendly and relaxed with a really good vibe and a pleasure to converse with. Miles then took over which was pretty seamless and was exemplary in his dealings with what was a difficult, to my mind anyway, conveyance and was polite, sympathetic, professional and almost alarmingly quick to respond to any emails and phone calls that I made. So, excellent in every respect. The only downside was that a successful result is just as dependant on the efficiency, In this case of the buyers solicitor and her mortgage lender who tripped up on a few occasions causing a protracted and unnecessary delay. However we got there in the end. Thank you.

United Kingdom | 09 December 2024Awful communication, for a brand new build with no chain whatsoever it has taken 6 months! Even now the sellers solicitors have told us the completion date but not bespoke law services. Our own solicitor who is meant to be working for us! They gave us a wrong completion quote. Omitted information and have not told us we need to have funds paid today for completion. Even though their own terms and conditions say we need to. We try calling and emailing yet our conveyancer AND her assistant are never there and never reply. It has been an awful experience. And continues to be so. Do not use!

As a first-time buyer, I expected guidance and professionalism—instead, I was met with appalling communication, repeated errors, and zero accountability. Documents were “lost in emails,” causing delays that angered the seller. I was shuffled between three solicitors, and key information was withheld until the last moment. Despite verifying my ID early on, I was informed three days before exchange that it was invalid due to their error, leaving me scrambling over a weekend to print more documents and be verified by someone of their standard. Didn’t think such a stressful experience could get any worse. For your own sanity, avoid them at all costs.
