Wyzant seems to be a good and organized site. They found me a lovely tutor and the payment is automatically put on your credit card after each lesson.

Wyzant is a great platform to find help for anyone looking for tutors. I was able to shortlist Tutors from multiple choices that were available across the country based on my requirements and budget needs. Tutors were able to communicate, schedule sessions and conduct sessions on the platform. making payments were easy too and not to forget Wyzant offered money back incase the customerer is not happy.

She knows how to teach and is both ready and prepared. Don't look any farther if your serious about learning German and don't let the higher rate scare you way; she's worth it . I wish I had a criticism but I really can not find one.

Customer service was TERRIBLE. My account was shut down with no notice or period of inquiry, and the only reason I received was indicating a part of the tutoring agreement that mentioned academic misconduct so I tried to inquire further because it said you could appeal the decision within ten days. Apparently my email inquiring about the specific incident counted as my "defense" and was not sufficient (because I had not included a defense yet..) and I got some generic email back saying my account would not be reactivated and gave the impression that they had not even read the email. I had one student that I suspected of cheating; she had asked for help on what she presented as a non-graded assignment and I later suspected it of being graded so I had already discussed the incident with the student's professor and was working with her to get the student charged with academic misconduct. I suspect this is the incident they were referring to, but I'll never know and if it was I had already taken the steps in correcting it. I am a professional teacher so I'm against cheating, but online tutoring can make it difficult to spot. They've been taking a large chunk of my tutoring fee and couldn't even call me or give me emails from an actual person. Luckily I'm in an area with a lot of colleges so I can make a lot of money without them, but I still like having a mix of online and in-person tutoring. If you live in an area with a lot of schools, go free-lance. For how much this company takes from you and treats you, you are much better off putting in a little effort and posting advertisements for tutoring. If you don't have a lot of schools in the area and rely on online tutoring use this site, but tread lightly. Your source of income can disappear with no warnings. Also, I had an appointment scheduled and no way to contact my student... I don't know if she was able to get another tutor since our session was scheduled the night before her morning exam. It looks bad for me, but also makes the site look unprofessional as well. Varsity tutors used to be the only site I told students to avoid, but now I'll be warning my future students about wyzant as well. Brief positives: I had been worried I would not receive my pending payment, but I did receive it as planned so at least they didn't rob me... Also, the platform was better than the other (varsity) i've been on so far (drawing tool was better, being able to send documents through messaging, etc)

I had a great experience with Wyzant and I found a wonderful tutor! I will certainly choose Wyzant and hopefully Zach for my future tutoring needs

Wyzant uses a software program to help the tutors that is incredible. It is interactive with multiple screens ...I think it is a world class teaching aid.

I am giving 1 star because of my experience with finance tutoring with Ron Daniel, I am very disappointed how WGU and Wyzant have chosen to discontinue allowing him to tutor finance. In all honesty, someone with the ambition Ron has shown to make material more understandable should be praised and thanked.
